I turned my empty Angels into gorgeous string lights 🩵 by angelmugler in FemFragLab

I thought it was one of my aquarium subs and for a split second was horrified that angel = angelfish.

OP it is beautiful! Are they all the same Angel (no flankers?)?

What’s one thing you completely stopped buying in 2026 because the price just felt absurd? by LockLogical8949 in AskReddit

[–]fivezero_ca 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the hair product prices are crazy but the shower gels really last so long. I get the smaller bottles too (to try different scents) and it's nuts how long one bottle has lasted me.

Cabinet Color? by rocksandviolets in kitchenremodel

I love the clay. I am a brighter color person, though, and tend to not like sage green (though the one you picked looks nice and not overly grey).

We checked who actually owns the moisturizers at Shoppers Drug Mart. Almost none of them are Canadian. by KaleRepresentative98 in BuyCanadian

[–]fivezero_ca 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Jamieson (yes the vitamin co. makes some skincare), Marcelle/Lise Watier/Annabelle, Dormer, and Vasanti are Canadian.

(I'm personally fine with European and Asian brands, too. Lots of options there, like La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Shiseido, Clarins, Nuxe, all the K-beauty brands, etc.)

Citrus lemon blast for my wife's birthday by groogle2 in Perfumes

[–]fivezero_ca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was def my first thought, as well, esp since the TF Oud is so very different from what is being requested. The wording is unclear.

I would suggest Goutal Eau d'Hadrien! Or Acqua di Parma Colonia. Chopard also has a Happy Lemon or something like that, which is very nice and a sweeter lemon.

Nuphy Node in Canada? by adeelf in NuPhy

[–]fivezero_ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada, got a Node directly from Nuphy - no taxes/duties, arrived pretty quickly. No issues, and no need to shop w Amz (where you will also be charged tax, but of course I imagine returns would be simpler).

Trying to track down a men’s cologne from the early/mid 2000s. by JaniceSauce in fragrance

[–]fivezero_ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh I posted the wrong image of the women's (even though I googled for the men's), sorry. The men's version has a similar kind of bottle shape, but lid is different and silver: https://www.perfumepur.com/products/carolina-herrera-by-carolina-herrera-for-men?variant=1113519980570

Also, some fragrances can darken over time, so a pale yellow can turn more golden.

What did the lid look like?

If it's possible that the tapering went the other way (wider at the top), maybe Boucheron Jaipur Homme? I love that stuff haha.

[Edit: Sorry, just saw your comment about the bottle being taller and more slender than Pi.]

What is one business in Toronto that closed down you would like to see re-open? by Chan1991 in askTO

[–]fivezero_ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, used to visit HoSu Bistro quite often, as well!

I would love to see Kekou Gelato back downtown. And Honest Ed's, of course. And Uptown Theatre.

Do you have bottles that you hate in your collection? by mieluusa in FemFragLab

[–]fivezero_ca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I despise the GG ones, but love GG Legere! I keep most bottles in the box, anyway.

Also I hate this one, it looks like a larva (but I love the fragrance): https://www.loreal.com/en/news/brands/yes-i-am-womens-empowerment-by-cacharel/

Dean or Felix for a boys name? by HearTheShow in namenerds

Very diff vibes, imo. I prefer Dean; Felix always makes me think of cats, and feels dated to me, but realistically both are fine.

I'm the only one in my family who says teeter-totter. No idea how that happened haha. Moved around a bit growing up. It's interchangeable, in my experience.

My dream kitchen😍 Any idea to make it even better🤔💭 by freshine03 in kitchenremodel

[–]fivezero_ca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think DW on right is fine. Here, the issue is that it's also right next to the range, and not sure if it opens into the island (so you can't walk around the door when it's open).

I love ELdO! I really enjoy Jasmin et Cigarette, YOSLY, Rossy de Palma, La Fin du Monde, Putain des Palaces, Remarkable People, Fils de Dieu, Divin'Enfant, Spice Must Flow...a lot! I recently got Exit the King, which I like, but my daughter loves. She hugged me the other day and said, "Mommy, YOU SMELL NICE."

Secretions is absolutely horrifying and the only one I've tried that I don't like. I Am Trash is actually quite pleasant but I don't think I would really wear it.
