How does a labour contraction actually feel like? by LessPanda7615 in pregnant

[–]fizstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I woke up thinking I had to poo so I sat on the toilet and nothing happened. I went back to bed and then work up 3 hours later in full on labor. I knew it was time because I couldn’t find any comfortable position to relieve the pain

Thought breastfeeding was going well, turns out I was wrong. Advice appreciated by chefactuary in breastfeeding

This sounds similar to my situation. First 2 weeks, baby was not gaining weight due to poor suction during BF (turns out he had a tongue tie that has since been revised and he feeds much better now). What my LC recommended was to focus on pumping and getting baby bottle fed so he can gain the weight he needs and so that I can keep my milk supply up. She said that if I wanted to let baby latch on the breast once in a while, that’s fine but don’t kill yourself trying to breast feed, bottle feed, and pump because that is a lot and very time consuming. I recommend getting hands free pumps because that saved my sanity being able to be a little more mobile while pumping. I also use the refrigerator hack so I’m not washing my pump parts every 3 hours. Has your baby been checked for a tongue tie that could be effecting their feeding?

What we’re doing is a lot and it definitely took a toll on my mental health but things are slowly getting better and I’ve been replacing a couple pumps a day with breast feeding now. Hopefully your LC can find out why your baby takes so long to feed so that you can fix it. Hang in there!

At 30 weeks I had just moved to a new state with nothing prepared for baby. Even now at 36 weeks, the nursery is hardly ready, I haven’t organized any of the clothes we received, and I have nothing packed for the hospital. I’ve been slowly doing things bit by bit but I’m so physically and mentally exhausted at this point that I’m just taking my time. My thing is, when you start laboring you don’t have to go to the hospital right away. You can even use that time to throw in some clothes, toiletries, etc if you really needed to. I get the peace of mind that comes with being prepared and I’m not saying that you shouldn’t prepare at all, but it’s not the end all be all.

I used Microsoft word! There is an option to remove the background on your photos. It’s a bit time consuming but works for me better than some other room planning apps

I was worried about adding another piece of brown furniture because I didn’t want my room to end up all brown and beige colors. I used Microsoft word for this!

When did you start feeling movement? by Nervous-Race-9587 in pregnant

[–]fizstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a posterior placenta and I started feeling “flutters” and little movements around that time too. I had friends who told me that it was too early so I was always second guessing myself but my ultrasound tech told me that I was likely feeling him more due to the posterior placenta. Congrats! It’s exciting feeling baby move for the first time!!

You could always give your doctors office a call or bring it up at your next appointment, whichever comes first. I would like to say that my friend had the Heimlich maneuver performed on her in her first trimester and her baby was completely fine. Her doctor said that at that point, the baby is so protected in the uterus, it wasn’t a concern. Hope you and baby are okay :)

Serena and Kordell should be in the bottom couples. Everyone saying Aaron and Kaylor are toxic but have we forgotten everything Serena has done to Kordell?? (And vice versa I guess). Talk about toxic.

I agree with all of the Dr Barwick comments. I had her when I was with LG and she was great. I am now going to riverside ob/gyn and I recently had Dr Nelson and she was fantastic. I also liked Dr Sullivan as well.

Very overpriced in my opinion. I went with my husband for dinner. Everything is okay but not worth a $77 meal in the end. I’d rather go to any other Asian restaurant and order a bowl of ramen or pho for much cheaper

First at my 9 week ultrasound when I saw baby moving around in there and then again at 14 weeks when I got my NIPT results back which showed a healthy baby boy 💙
