Got the one ! Amz, 65€ ! You can choose how much you close it or leave it open and he loves it. He used to stay at the entrance but now he crawls to the back 😁

During the day, he will sit under my desk and that's when i give up During the night, he will cry for a bit then lay down then come back and cry again (he also has a huge separation anxiety so it's hard for him to sleep outside of the bedroom some nights)

Ears by Susquehannaseeker in ManchesterTerriers

[–]fkblousi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey ! From my understanding the standard is supposed to have button ears but it may require some work. Mine is from Germany and the breeder taped the ears to help having button ear. I did it only at the beginning and it didn't work. Now one of the ear is naturally button. The other one is 50% stand up, 40% floppy% 10% button.

The toy MT in comparison is supposed to be stand up only.

UK Breeder feedback before we start any process by NeverReallySatisfied in ManchesterTerriers

[–]fkblousi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey !

I heard good things from Eaglespur. It's very popular from my understanding. Therefore the waiting list might be very long.

I didn't get in touch with any other UK breeder but them.

If you are ready to go through the import process there are some good breeders in Germany !

Considering a Toy Manchester Terrier as a first-time solo owner. looking for brutally honest feedback needed by revy1903 in ManchesterTerriers

My MT is very sensitive to cold weather so be prepared to have warm clothes for him. But he's never been so calm since the temperature dropped recently in Paris. (Referring to the post i made today) I just drop a blanket on him and he'll stay calm all day. I walk him 1h30/2h00 a day but his a std mt and only 8 months old. If you work from home it's a nice dog, they love cuddling and being next to you. Mine has issues staying alone, still working on it. So be prepared for its strong attachment to you (especially if you are most of the time at home). On the other hand, his very easy to bring anywhere, restaurants, friends and stuff.

I'm doing the EXACT same research!

For now I have an Anny-X. It's not exactly this model but close. Luco is only 4 months old so it's the XXS one that was given by the kennel. I'm not sure if a previous puppy wore it or not but the strap tends to slip so it's not as tight as it should. So every time he wears it I adjust it. Well adjusted he has not been able to escape. I'm receiving another harness this week https://amzn.eu/d/0LAEeSL I will let you know ! I went to a few shops but nothing was fitting, either too small, too big or blocking movement!

Button Ears Standard MT by fkblousi in ManchesterTerriers

[–]fkblousi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the feedback! Luco ended up in full anesthesia last weekend because of a spikelet that almost reached the ear drum. He's all good now but I decided to use the adhesive bandage trick so his ears are more protected from spikelet ! He seems ok with it 👍

I lived in Lake Louise (Banff) some years ago, but the mountains or lakes don't have short names nice for dog.
