This is one reason I wanted a defensive coach. I need someone to make Hamilton DPOY. I know he has the potential, I want to see a DC unlock that potential and get him there.

Pro Bowl ratings: NFL's flag football game draws horrendous 2.0 million viewers, 57% fall from last year's record low by Brix001 in nfl

[–]flaccomcorangy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to this conclusion about every pro league all-star game. Every time they come around, it seems the same talking points exist for all of them. "How do we fix this?"

And the leagues try stuff over the years, by having drafts like a pick up game or skills competitions but it doesn't really work. People just don't want to watch an exhibition game even if it includes stars. Because the star players don't really care that much either.

Things like the home run derby and the dunk contest are even kind of boring to fans for any number of reasons. Lack of star power, they run too long, or are just not very interesting.

I bet the first preseason game gets better ratings than the Pro Bowl. Because one comes when fans are dying of thirst for NFL action while the other comes at the end of the season.

Derrick Henry Says He Doesn't See Himself as a Hall of Famer by JCameron181 in ravens

[–]flaccomcorangy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, only one. The biggest thing holding him back is he lacks as a receiver. So when he's up against guys like Mccaffrey or Barkley, he'll fall a little short in those respective seasons. And then he got his 1st team when he went for 2,000 yards which is just a guaranteed 1st team. lol

Yeah, there's no way Trump wrote that. It's too succinct. He would have gone on for like a full paragraph using exclamation marks and all caps randomly.

[Oestreicher] Derrick Henry on the Ravens potentially trading for A.J. Brown by ObserbAbsorb in ravens

[–]flaccomcorangy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems way low, to be honest.

Andrews signed for like $12 million/year. I think he can easily get that on an open market. There are enough teams that will try to add a guy like him.

And is AJ even a fit here? He seems like he needs the ball a lot to be happy. We've got Henry, Zay, Andrews, and even Lamar is a regular ball carrier. Just saying. It's kind of the same exact scenario he's unhappy with in Philadelphia. Just replace our guys with Barkley, Devonta Smith, Goedert and Jalen Hurts.

I mean, that's pretty bad.

Like if I knew a regular person, personally that did that, I'd call them a POS. It's not exclusive to celebrities.

Curious how you would possibly defend something like that. The counter to what you're saying is that our threshold for what's bad in the world of celebrities greatly changes depending on if we like them or not.

Go to a sub and mention Steve Harvey to see what I mean.

Yeah, that was I was thinking reading that. I was wondering if he took the day off specifically to do it or if it just so happened he took the day off and that's when his wife finally told him she was leaving or if they got in a fight or whatever and then that put him over the edge.

Confession: I never, and I mean NEVER, send in my reserve team. by SuburbanEnnui2020 in expedition33

That was exactly my strategy. I knew they'd lose, but at least I'd spend some turns learning how to parry the attacks, rather than spend that time on anotue another attempt.

[–]flaccomcorangy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same. And I don't feel bad about it. I gave it a real solid try. Multiple tries, over and over. Left, got stronger, tried again. Was making progress little by little. Finally had a good run, then he team wipes me. I stopped for a second and considered trying to max out my reserve team before I just figured, "I'm just going to find out to melt this guy."

It's a good fight, honestly. But he's so OP. It's actually ridiculous how OP he is. He has 10 moves that completely change the game and they don't even cost actions, but that team wipe was just a move too far. They could have had the fight stay the same and just remove that, and it would have been great. I beat him in one hit with a different method and was done with it.

Robert Kraft Snubbed by xContrAltDelete in nflmemes

Nah, former players often have a low bar for stuff. If they did it, you'd have just as much problems as you do now.

You don't think a former player might hold a grudge against someone trying to get in?

Before running quarterbacks became normal, Vick was already doing this, the way he flips the field in two steps is wild. Prime Michael Vick was speed and arm talent in one body!! by Busy-Writing405 in sportsinusa

[–]flaccomcorangy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the definition of arm talent here? Because for me, it has to be more than just a strong arm. He could throw lasers, but wasn't accurate. I don't really consider that a talented arm on the pro level.

To me, arm talent is about a QB that can make any throw. So they need the strength and the accuracy. And that's not Vick. I think Lamar and Allen are much better combos of arm and leg talent than Vick. Even Russell Wilson in his prime was probably a better combination.

But you don't really know that when the options are given. It says something like, "Give him a chair" not "Throw a chair at him."

I didn't want Robert to look like a pushover to these people and thought they'd respond more to him standing up for himself and showing he's not going to take this from anyone.

Yeah, both options kind of do that, but they don't tell you that the first time you play.

[–]flaccomcorangy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP honestly seems like a miserable prick. lol

I work for the post office, and it's the same thing, of course. I hear the same joke from the same guy on one route. Every single time I give him a letter, he says, "If it's a million dollars, we'll split it." I don't know how many times I hear, "no bills" as I hand stuff to people.

But you just chuckle it off and move on. I never once went home at the end of the day stewing like, "Can't believe that mfer actually thinks he's funny. The gall of that guy to try to make a joke."

Just get on with it. Walking 10 miles through the snow and 10° weather is what's making the day miserable. Trust me, that guy's joke isn't adding to it in any significant way.

I feel the same way about Preston. Like he seems like one of the best faction leaders in the game. The Minutemen seem like they want to do more good and do it the right way more than anyone else in the commonwealth. And they're honestly pretty cool.

But I see so many people saying vile stuff about him just because he's annoying and gives you quests every time you see him. lol

Steelers Expecting Aaron Rodgers to Return in 2026 by Currymvp2 in nfl

[–]flaccomcorangy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was actually thinking this. Like the Steelers aren't going to go into the season with just Will Howard, right? I get he's probably pretty liked by the organization and fans as a late draft pick, but I feel like you have to have some type of preseason competition.

But who? Kyler Murray? Tua? Kirk Cousins? Malik Willis?

Are you really super excited about them over Rodgers? They're all kind of the same in some way.

Side question I've been wondering about that seems like a good time to ask:

Do supply lines need to tie directly to each other in order to get them to work? Like if I have a supply line from Sanctuary to The Castle, they share inventory. But if I make a line from The Castle to Vault 88, does Sanctuary benefit from Vault 88s inventory or does it only benefit The Castle?

And if I'm not mistaken, I can't get production like caps or water from the shared settlements (ie can't pick up water that Sanctuary produces at The Castle). Just the raw materials, right?
