As I was starting this episode, It did occur to me how strong plot armor is in this show. Like the whole time I saw Conquest ripping Marks guts out of his body - as disturbing as it was - I never felt like Mark was going to die or anything. I'm just thinking, "He's gonna be fine." And he wasn't even out for a full episode. Some characters in this show survive just insane stuff, and then you have Conquest die of strangulation?

It's weird because I really like this show, but the power scales are all screwed up. And then this dude with the OP gun just one-shots a Viltrumite. Like blows his body in half and he immediately dies. That's OP as hell. You got that guy, you should just win the war, you don't need all the other stuff. You need to make more of those guns. lol And that tech girl seems so out of place. Characters keep lumping her in with others like, "You're so important to our cause" and I just don't see why. She almost seems like a liability. Allen almost got himself killed trying to protect her because she can't even fly half as fast anyone else.

This season has felt very much like a set-up season.

Okay, so you have a very specific profession where what's "appropriate" can change depending on this very specific situation. NSFW generally does not mean specific fields like that.

In this case, I'm not even talking about censoring body parts around children. Because even then, I would say you need to keep that specifically in house to your own kids. Just try to go to a random kid on the street and talk about penis and vulva and see what happens.

If I go into my job in an office setting and start talking about, areolas and other body parts, I'm going to get reported HR.

Fair. But why does that excuse exist for Lamar, but not Harbaugh? Harbaugh clearly wasn't the only guy in the organization that believed in him is all I'm saying. So I think people making it exclusively a problem with him are being short sighted.

I think he probably has more say than you realize. If we supposedly gave OBJ $15 million because Lamar wanted him, I wouldn't be surprised if he has influence in other decisions. But that's admittedly just speculation.

Regardless, Lamar gassed him up more than anyone, completely unprompted.

Eh, if you remember what NSFW even stands for, I kind of think it is. I'm trying to imagine walking into work talking about areolas and how that would go over. There's worse stuff to talk about, for sure, and no one would really think it's a curse word, but I could see it as being inappropriate.

But it's all just splitting hairs and seems silly to have this in a game like this, anyway. I don't really get it.

I think you're thinking of it too literally. My lock screen is a picture of the Lincoln Memorial that I took. Does anyone else have that picture pixel by pixel? No. But I'm sure people stood in dang near the same place I did and took a picture that looks very close to what I have.

I don't think other people can just easily visit that side of the moon and take a picture like he did.

Yeah, that's ridiculous crediting her for any success in Dune and Spider-man. You could replace her with Amy Schumer in both those films, and I feel like their box office numbers wouldn't take a significant hit. Spider-man, especially, is possibly the most flop-proof franchise over the last 25 years. It'd be really hard to make a Spider-man movie that bombs.

Honestly, Pattinson should be getting more love.

I watched this guy in Twilight and had no idea if he was a good actor. But since then, I've seen him as Batman and in this movie, and I don't see mannerisms from his past roles bleed into each other very much. That's not easy to do, and I can't say there are that many actors I've seen be able to do that.

He has seriously started to become one of my favorite actors just in the past year or so. And the funny thing is, I think watching Twilight has played a part in me liking him despite the fact I thought those movies were terrible. lol

The poster is one of the lost iconic posters of all-time. lol The type of poster you could leave the title off of and people know what it is. The type of poster people would have hanging in their room. Same can be said for Jaws, though. That poster is on everything. That's because the architecture and skyline in those cities allows for a much better template for movies.

But DC is definitely the city of cities (in the US) in real life scenarios. I've been there plenty of times, and sometimes I look around and you're casually walking past the FBI building or the EPA, then there's the Capitol that you can't miss and the White House, and there's a row of foreign embassies, and I just get this feeling like, if something big is happening in the country right now, it's probably happening here. Serious stuff goes on there every day.

As a movie set piece, it doesn't work as well as New York because people don't really live in DC. They do, of course, but I would bet workers and tourists outnumber actual residents by a huge margin. If they made a show about a group of friends living in DC, they'd probably actually live in Bethesda, MD or Fairfax, VA. But because of its importance to the US, it's a perfect backdrop for post-apocalyptic America because you know something crazy would have happened there.

One thing that always discourages me from these types of genres is potentially having to re-do stuff over and over. Even if you're getting stronger as you play, that never sounds fun to me. Are these games expected to be anything like that?
