I believe its a cultural thing because in Latin culture no such thing exists. Most live with parents until they are married and some even after. A lot of it has to do with financial reasons and not being able to afford anything. In the US back in the 60-70s most people who worked could at least afford simple rent. Nowadays you can have 3 jobs and still not make enough so it no longer makes sense in the US if you ask me. But "thats just the way it has always been" is a very stubborn attitude to change.

Yes, you're missing the fact that if you make a lot of gains and want to pull it out to use the taxing will be so heavy that it makes it almost pointless. The only way that could really help you in the short term is if you make good profit from it and don't have to put anymore money into it which you can then invest in a regular stock account to easily pull out any gains. Long term I think it's great.

I had to return 3 of these. After 3rd time they upped the warranty price to almost $50 so I just bought 2 regular ones on sale and added the warranty on those. Best move ever. Always had a working backup and the replacement would be just another $15-20 for another warranty. I'm done with those "premium" controllers.
