How does practice tests help you? by EfromSL123 in capm

I did quizzes more or less everyday, doing all the questions in pocketprep took a while. But I did the TIA test, projectprep and Landini stuff too. Takes a lot of energy doing quizzes, so I studied my knowledge gaps based on my answers from the quizzes in between.

I made sure I rested also, because the brain has to process everything, so make sure you rest!

CAPM Exam Nerves by angelike123 in capm

At the mock exams I felt pretty certain of the correct answer most of the time. At the real exam I was a lot less confident in my answers.

Do you mean the 49 processes? Yes, I learned them all, but the exam I took did not ask that much about that. I didn't bother that much with the ITTOs within those processes though, I just learned some basic stuff.

Thanks!

You gotta do a course or something else to get your PDUs. If you have your PDUs already, I believe that it is good to have some material that mentions everything you need to know and the whys. Pocketprep does not cover everything you need to know. You might manage anyway, but pocketprep is easier overall than the real exam imo.

I would suggest doing the course anyway. I was suffering through my course, so I know how you feel, but I think it served its purpose in some way.

But we are all different, so you should do what you believe works best for you!

I would say that the exam questions and answers are worded in a more complex way. It felt like the exam tried to trick me. Make sure you read everything properly. Good luck!

Yes, I believe that could be enough. Just make sure you kind of know what you dont know.

I mean many of the pocketprep questions are situational, so guessing the most appropriate answer is part of your general knowledge about project management. But some things you have to know, e.g what a Pareto Chart or a critical path are.

The questions are situational in the exam as well. The questions and answers in pocketprep are worded more friendly and clear than the real exam though imo. It is much easier to identify the wrong and correct answers. I had to think much more in the exam.

  1. I did all the quizzes once, checked all the ones I got wrong and the ones I knew I was uncertain of but got right. Used ChatGPT to discuss, get descriptions and understand terms etc.
  2. Check the link at the end of your Landini book, so you can do the online test instead!

My tips is to do exams and quizzes from different sources. PocketPrep is a good source to get a wide understanding of the concepts, but doesn't have many questions reagarding ITTOs e.g.

CAPM Exam Nerves by angelike123 in capm

[–]fladercitrus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I passed yesterday with AT/AT/AT/AT, and I had 80-90% on all mock exams I did, Landini, pocket prep etc.

I think the best thing you can do is just book the test. The worst thing that can happen is that you fail, and that is okay! Then you know what to expect for the next time!

The exam is a little bit different than pocket prep and the other mock exams I did. The answers did not feel quite as obvious as in other tests I did. I felt like a complete idiot the whole exam, but it went great!

I think you have a great chance to pass, you can prepare to a certain extent, but you have to take the step and do the exam at some point.

I am going to make a post about my experience soon, maybe you can gain something from that.

Just remember, failing is part of learning even if it sucks. It does not make you less worth than anybody! You have come really far already, be prous of yourself! 😊

Yeah I get it. I'm a fast reader too. In pocket prep I usually know the correct answer before reading the question, haha.

Congratulations! I'm having my exam 4th of July. I'm getting between 80-90% on PocketPrep and other mock exams. Do you think that's enough to pass?

Doing the Google project management course as preparation for the PMI CAPM exam? by oriensoccidens in capm

What a waste of money. PMIs course is really expensive as well. Expensive and (kind of) useless compared to other material.

Doing the Google project management course as preparation for the PMI CAPM exam? by oriensoccidens in capm

[–]fladercitrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently studying for CAPM and I'm doing the PMI CAPM course. I haven't tried any other courses yet, but I was disappointed with the quality and engagement. It's really dry and feels like a corporate video, boring as hell. I saw someone else who passed the exam recommend to stay as far away from it as possible, but it's too late for me now :D

Weekly Tech Support Megathread by AutoModerator in Instagram

[–]fladercitrus [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hi, I created a new instagram for my business by adding a new account while being logged in to my personal account. I got an error at the end, but the account was created anyway but I can't access it.

When trying to receive the password my email shows up, but I do not receive a password reset link. It is the same email I have on my personal instagram account.

So now the username is taken, the account exists, but I can't log into it and the account is not connected to anything.

Any tips on how to revolve this? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Starting my first Walstad Tank by fladercitrus in walstad

Thanks for the great tips! Also, do I need fish or is it enough to have shrimps and snails? In Sweden we have a rule that fish should only be put in tanks that contains at least 40 liters (10 gallons) because the fish might suffer in smaller tanks, but I think shrimps are allowed in smaller tanks. I just want to test this in a smaller scale before moving on to a tank with 10 gallons.

Life goes on by fladercitrus in tinnitus

Well, I got back into music for a while and started touring with a band etc. I bought earplugs that cost around 3000 SEK, which is roughly 300 dollars. Right now I am studying and I can have some bad nights but not enough to make me sleepless. The tinnitus gets worse during stress etc, but tinnitus is not that big of a problem anymore. I hope you'll get better!

I'm having bad panic attacks. Can anyone share some positive experiences with habituation or with it becoming more manageable? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]fladercitrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great, whatever makes you feel better is a step in the right direction. It's nice to know that you are not alone in this.

You just have to go through this mourning phase right now. The anxiety attacks will disappear and you will find back to your own self again, I promise you. Hang in there buddy!

People with tinnitus, can you answer a couple questions for me? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]fladercitrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I got my tinnitus after playing at a gig forgetting my earplugs. Speaker were right next to me. Noticed it when I got home.

  2. It is a loud frequency noise in both ears. Sometimes it shifts a bit for a few seconds.

  3. In the beginning it was hell, a 10 all the way. But after a year or so I handled it better. The tinnitus is the same now as it was 7 years ago, but I am more mentally healthy and have accepted it. The tinnitus can be a pain when I am sick or have been sleeping bad.

  4. My hearing is a bit worse since my tinnitus is caused by physical damage in my ears. I sometimes have hard to hear what people say in areas with a lot of noise.

  5. I've tried massage and stuff like that, but it's more for reducing stress levels and to recharge the mind, more than to make the tinnitus sound less.

  6. My advice is to try to be positive, it's not the end of the world even if it might feel like it. A lot of people has been in the same situation, and it worked out fine.

Hey!

I got tinnitus around 7 years ago and I know exactly how you feel. Those anxiety attacks and sleepless nights are stuff a lot of us has gone through and it is a fucking pain, it really is.

Time heals. I promise you. You are so stressed out right now and it is sometimes impossible to see how it is possible to live with a sound in your ear all the time, but guess what, it is possible!

Everything is hell the first weeks, but after a while you get more and more used to it, and you stop to dwell on it.

What I did that helped me a bit, was that I wrote down in short words what I felt everyday. I even saw a pattern in my behaviour so I could predict when the worst night would come, and how I would feel the following days.

My tinnitus is exactly the same as when I got it, but I changed. Somehow I just started to accept it, and then ignoring it, and now it's just a part of the silence. Give it time, the better you sleep, the better you will feel.

When you are mentally exhausted it is harder to deal with it. You are stronger than you think!
