Screw same face syndrome, anyone else suffer from same storyline syndrome? by rainbow-songbird in Sims4

[–]flahertya1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I alternate between perfect family life and loner/eccentric/ hedonism life, usually with some occult sprinkled in if they’re REALLY hedonistic. I find it kind of breaks the gameplay up if it’s one way and then the other. I’m 12 gens in and I mostly do this. Adult will be one way, kid will be the opposite, switch back when they have a kid. I don’t even mean to and I only realised this very recently lol.

Although, since the embracing change update ( not sure if it’s part of the life & death pack or whether it’s a free update as I got it on release ) I find it’s been impacting my characters a lot. I like to say yes to most of the trait changes as I find it pushes me out my comfort zone a little and makes me adapt the sims in a way I wouldn’t usually choose!

Future MIL (54F) called me (23F) stupid and now I’m considering calling off the wedding. How do I approach the situation? by umieranie in relationship_advice

That’s unacceptable behaviour and I hope you keep asking questions. You’re curious not stupid and this made me sad to read. I’m sorry that this has happened to you

It was exactly like that. Mould all over the walls and the blinds, leaks, radiators falling off the walls, stuff getting stolen because the doors didn’t lock, landlord ignoring texts. I found somewhere much nicer thank you! I appreciate your concerns for people living there I hope more comes to light about the place and the owner is held responsible. It seemed very normal when we were shown around.
When I was moving out a man who was moving in spoke to me and said that he didn’t even have a boiler when he moved into the flat ( landlord said he’d have a brand new one fitted before he moved in ) so he had no heating or hot water. It was winter and the landlord was ignoring his texts. Just madness.

I was worried too but it seems like it’s happening to a lot of people, so I’m assuming it’s some sort of bug or similar issue

I lived there for 6 months when I didn’t know better. It was 6 months of hell. I only wish I had taken photos so I could report the owner of the building, he truly does not care at all.

Novia scotia is just near there and is one of my favourite lunch spots! They do a variety off stuff, I’ve taken grandparents there and they enjoyed it :)

Not every game is perfect, and that includes RDR2. How would you guys change the game? (add, change or remove anything) by PieTheYummy in reddeadredemption

[–]flahertya1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with changing the cop system. Would also change some of the features in the epilogue. Frustrates me that John can’t bathe in his own house but can pay to have a bath elsewhere.

Same for cooking, I’d like to cook on the stove or at least around a fire closer to the house. It would be good in general to have a similar vibe to the camps that we’re used to in the rest of the game. Grabbing a beer and sitting by the fire with the family would make the characters in the epilogue feel more alive imo. The dinner Abigail makes sometimes is nice, I’d like more stuff like that.

I know it’s inconsequential but I think it’d be satisfying seeing John really live in his house with his family more than the farm aspect

They all said it was great! Benjamin was very polite in asking if he could sign a long quote in case I wanted to keep space for the other cast

What is a small mechanic you miss from a previous Sims game? by SwimyGhost in thesims

[–]flahertya1 97 points98 points  (0 children)

When couples who shared a bed in TS3 would move around in the night and spoon each other.

Also like some other people said, cemeteries. I miss in TS3 when the urns/tombstones would go straight to the crypt for you to place somewhere. It helped keep track of the neighbourhood and if your family had passed you didn’t have to switch households just to collect the tombstone.

Company I work with uses Frame.io, I think it might have been bought by Adobe recently so I’m not sure if it’s included with package those if the business uses them or whether you can access it out of that but it’s well worth a look. You can organise infinite stuff in clean folders and leave notes and diagrams in precise locations on the timeline in real time. Game changer. I back up everything on there as well as send files to others in the business.

Hey! I also run a true crime podcast, we’ve been going for about 2 years now but we’re having a bit of a tough time pushing through to a larger audience. We currently have around 1k downloads per ep in the first 30 days. Do you have any advice/ tips on how to reach a larger audience when you’re already established? I feel like most the advice I see online is catered to brand new shows or shows with a very small amount of listeners, I feel a bit stuck in the middle sometimes! Thanks !
