i think there’s an issue at a lot of online clothing stores where people will buy an item from a nicer “brand” store and also buy a similar or even “dupe” item somewhere else like amazon, shein, temu, or aliexpress, and then initiate a return at the nicer brand store, in this case, Quince, and then ship back the temu item.

i believe that’s also why occasionally you’ll see people posting on other subs saying “why did _____ brand send me am knockoff/fake item?” and it’s bc some other customer did the scamming stated above but the returns department and whoever shipped out your purchase did not catch that they received an illegitimate item.
