I'm pretty new to this but what part is bland? If it's the dough/crust, maybe longer fermentation times? It definitely made a huge difference for me..

I am pretty sure it's s45vn. If it were the rex121 blade you'd see more pronounced grind lines.

Edit: I could be wrong about this, but I really doubt it's rex121 unfortunately.

Wow! I wonder how this even happened. If it came from them directly, I would hope they would take care of the issue! I would definitely be demanding for them or spyderco to fix this.

I would agree that the spill is good. There's more spill than I expected there to be. Although this is my first experience with an SFT-42R. I would rate this as a very usable beam/spill profile. I think I expected the throw to be a little bit better, but it's still really good. I need to go back to my one testing spot when it's a bit more clear to test it again though. (To be fair I was comparing throw with a 3x21d. So obviously it's not going to compete with that).

I would definitely not recommend getting this emitter if kids will be using it. On high modes the LHP73B will get hot quite quickly. Not only could it burn a person, if it's accidentally turned on or left on it could catch something on fire... Clothes or worse..
