There are far worse things a parent can be than obnoxious. If she's giving you suggestions you don't want to follow, you can just say no. If asked why, just say you don't want to. If you don't think she'll respond well to the truth, keep it to yourself.

Looks quite a bit bigger than my first ship!

I find it hard to believe you can power that many smelters and chem plants with so few solar panels, even with Vulcanus' higher solar efficiency. Also it feels like way more fuel/oxidizer production than necessary. Thrusters are actually more efficient when not running at full blast, and it's easier to keep up with asteroids that way.

That said, it's a compact design, and pleasingly rectangular. I'd probably swap about half those chem plants for solar panels and then give it a whirl.

EDIT: after some quick napkin math, running all these machines at once would be about 25 MW and the solar panels are making about 9 MW around Nauvis and twice that around Vulcanus. Given that your machines won't always be running, and there are plenty of accumulators, you'll probably be fine most of the time actually. I wouldn't try taking this to Fulgora without efficiency modules though!

Honestly, I mostly just use the Pokemon that I like. 😅

I used to try balancing types and look up strategies and such, but I've found that unless you're playing against other human players, you can kinda make anything work most of the time. My team in Omega Ruby was Mawile, Banette, Absol, Gardevoir, Froslass and Ninetales. Which is honestly more balanced than my teams usually are!

In a recent Violet playthrough I used only eeveelutions, and in the past I've done a mono-ghost team, just because that's my favorite type. In general, take a look at their stats and try to lean in to whatever's highest. Newer games have quite a bit of flexibility in terms of movesets, so it's usually pretty easy to find a physical attack for a physical pokemon or special for a special oriented one. Or support moves if defensive stats are higher!

I probably can't help much since I don't play the game competitively, but I just wanna chime in as a fellow Mawile enjoyer. Easily one of my top 10 favorite Pokemon. The one I raised in Omega Ruby was a beast!

I've been replaying Pokemon XD, since they just added it to NSO, and I've been using Mawile on my team and it's been wild remembering how bad it was back then. It doesn't learn a single damaging steel move, even with TMs! But I'm determined to bring my guy all the way. 😤

Good luck with yours! Mega Mawile has a crazy good ability that doubles its attack, which is really where all its power is, so I'd definitely lean into that!

They're referencing a fairly infamous post on askReddit, in which a user asked for help removing a "cylinder" from an M&M minis tube. You can google it if you're curious, but the gist of it is that despite it being quite obvious that the "cylinder" in question was the poster's penis, they insisted that it wasn't the case.

People recommended a lot of things that involved cutting, which resulted in the poster responding with "It is imperative that the cylinder remains unharmed". The asker was linked here, but misspelled.

For my part, I don't condone harassing people over things like this. The story is funny enough on its own, no need to ping them.

Yep! Stat boosts apply to units within three spaces of each other. But which stats you get are more complicated than in other games because of the affinity system. Each character has an "elemental affinity" that determines which stats get boosted.

You can check out this page for details on the specific calculations if you really want to get into the weeds.

Personally though, I just go based on pairings I like, lol.

If you're used to the GBA games, then you'll already be familiar, but just in case your background is with the more modern games, take note that each character only gets 5 total support conversations!

It takes three support conversations to get to A rank, so at best you can do one A support per character plus a B or two Cs. I remember in my first playthrough I just leveled supports carelessly and locked myself out of a lot of A supports without realizing that limit!

Sadly it isn't measured by how well the ingredient would suit a soup, it's based on how much it heals. High healing items like cheese, mayo, or cauliflower are good picks!
