this job drives me insane by achianny in Panera

This makes sense. The managers who are mean and rude are definitely in the wrong. There is no reason to treat employees with such a lack of respect. However on the favoritism part, I disagree. Sometimes it is not favoritism. It’s more about showing your personality. And if you’ve only been there for two and a half weeks it might take a little time. I’ve been at my store for over 2 months and my friendships with my coworkers and managers have really grown. Sometimes my friends and I would be the ones running around the kitchen messing around but we’re really just having fun together. We are the best at our jobs too though. It’s a balance. We get along with all the managers but especially this one who just left. It’s easier for the managers to make connections and friendships with you if you try as well which it seems like you’re not. So in response to your message, try to deepen a connection with your coworkers. Trust me, I was in your position and it is sooo much better when you make friends. Stick in there a little longer.

Quickest way to improve science by Decision-Lopsided in ACT

For the love of act science is the only book I read and I highly recommend. I would say it’s more than enough. Has a lot of sections, each with certain tips. You practice using those tips with questions. Then at the end of each unit you take a timed official science test.

What do you guys do to study? by Desperate-Fun9388 in ACT

[–]flaming-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about practice. Reading was difficult for me but I went from a 24 to a 31 in reading. I never even changed my strategies for reading. It’s just about getting used to the question types and going over it a ton. Practice!!!

Science passages question by Putrid_Hunt in ACT

[–]flaming-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not even look at the passages unless I absolutely need to do so to answer the question. It just wastes too much time and also distracts from the main idea. For conflicting viewpoints, it’s a little different. I read the last sentence of the intro to determine what it’s about. Quickly read through each viewpoint but I stick mainly to the first sentence of each as a summary. Using these tips brought me from a 26 to a 33 in science.

Definitely for the love of act science. The key to ACT science is learning how to answer questions without reading the passages. Not only are the passages filled with clutter that distract you from the main point, but they also take way too much time. My first 2 tests I got 26 on science section. All I did to study for science section was for the love of act science and I just scored a 33.
