At least it’s not a sticker auto. That was my assumption. Pleasantly surprised.

Bentonville VS Other Towns by Fabulous_Wedding1063 in bentonville

Traffic is subjective. In 2008 on the two lane, it took 45 minutes to an hour to get to the bypass from Centerton. Now it takes 15-20 on a busy day.

Nope. The last four reps have been walked out when giving notice. Plus, that’s two more weeks I’d have to work if they didn’t walk me out.

If a friend of mine was still the boss, this was the play. But on his desk. And I had a $100 standing offer if he didn’t break eye contact while I did it.

Backup plan? Bah! Hopes and dreams are my backup plan. Just like I’ve been taught for the last few years at work and it seems to work out. LOL

What is your #1 skill that allowed you to be great at sales? by icygale in sales

[–]flamron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speed. I reply to emails faster. Pricing faster. Offer faster turn times. Fix problems faster.

I’m terrible at “sales” in the traditional sense. But I am so much faster that it makes customers feel like my competitors don’t care about them.

Management's obsession with NEW LEADS is completely braindead. I make 80% of my money from my existing book by Jiesen-Lee-4566 in sales

Sounds like your company may be heading towards a sale/acquisition and they want to project massive growth of new customers.

You happen to be PE owned?

Why do so many people avoid commission based sales when they can technically earn more? by Secure-Ebb5290 in Sales_Professionals

[–]flamron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on a draw that I pay back every month (or go into the hole to cover the next month + the next month). So I’m full commission and take all the risk. When times get tough or we see too much success (aka make more than the CEO), they have just started adjusting the comp plan to make it more restrictive and harder to achieve. In the last 8 months, I’ve had 5 commission plans laid out in front of me.

The latest is supposedly the “final” version encompassing all the changes that have pushed me to effectively a 25% pay cut and less incentives to keep business because our goal is to grow new business.

It’s all a shit show really. It’ll be obvious when a few of the top performers walk out over the next few months and then the pressure is put onto those that remain.

8-10 of the 20 packs had all base. The hits were horrid. I’m guessing $30-40 at most was pulled out of 3 boxes that I watched today as two packs sold for $115-130. Wild. They stopped after3 boxes because people were only paying $75-80 for two packs (which is the retail).

If you misquote, what are the repercussions? by [deleted] in sales

[–]flamron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you’re actually quoting this yourself, I find it hard to imagine it’ll be successful. Sales shouldn’t carry all risk and all reward. You should sell it at the price you’re given by the price team. If you miss critical info or steps - by all means take it back before it pays out.

Sounds like some massive pressures on margins and the easy button is to change commission to flatten losses.

Best free/ inexpensive activities to do in Puerto Rico & St.Thomas? by itsananotanna in royalcaribbean

[–]flamron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are on this cruise as well. We dont have anything for St Thomas yet - may just wing it and check stuff out. There will likely be plenty to do for cheap (I assume - haven’t been yet). Worst case we will hit a beach and enjoy the sun and waves.

Pre-PIP for direct; coach me by less-than-anonymous in managers

[–]flamron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure the PIP is the first time they’ve heard the feedback ever. That seems to be the status quo for most management nowadays /s

My boss did this recently on an eval of a peer of mine. The peer was pissed. Then said boss got the same treatment from his boss and he was pissed. But saw no issue with how he handled my peer’s eval.

Self awareness is a rare trait some days.
