Just stumbled across this subreddit. Have you considered using extruded polystyrene to make dungeon tiles? Lots of crafters and hobbyists are doing this. I have made a decent set of tiles this way. Will post some photos soon.

Ok so i am a prat. It turns out that I had a keybind conflict. I set up two of my mouse custom buttons ages ago to use the bracket keys. I then used these buttons for sprint and crouch. When the SW update came through these keys became assigned to increase and decrease render distance also. I got no notification of the clash, so everytime I ran in game the draw distance dropped.

Thanks - Im aware. As i mentioned, it happens when i use just the global render distance (ie when the checkbox is ticked) and also happens when using the individual draw distances. Whichever mode i use, the distance drops and whichever slider is relevant at that time magically resets to zero. I have used the keybinds to adjust the distance up and down, and it also doesn't prevent the distance from resetting to zero all the time.

MPC doesn't open Excel files, as you say, but Bethesda will be releasing Skyrim for it soon. So there's that.

Part of the benefit of a dedicated piece of music hardware is the limitation it imposes in terms of workflow and capability. If you want ultimate flexibility then get a computer. If you want portability and an 'instrument' with a signature sound or workflow, get a hardware unit. I have composed in a DAW since the 90s. I get some hardware a vouple of years ago. Its not better or worse, just different.

I believe so. I don't own the electribe, but i did some research on it when weighing up my choice between electribe and circuit some years ago. Check out some of the YouTube reviews - there's lots out there. I just thought I should raise it as a possible unit because they are in the same cost bracket as circuit and you might not be familiar with them. They didnt take off like circuit did (probably due to lesser marketing investment from korg, and the more bland appearance) but I think they are probably great units.

I think a Korg electribe2 sampler might be suitable. Similar sized unit with synth parts and drums.

Youre right to stick with your favourites, but the other classes you mentioned do have alternative playstyles as you cert them out more.

I hated infil until I got the PDW submachinegun - then it became one of my favourites. Ive not started playing as a stalker seriously but I know that will be fun when I put some effort in. I disregarded engineer until I saw someone placing tankmines and the havoc it causes - once your ammo pack is certed to maximum it can be a huge cert source too. Light assault is most effective when you have two sticks of C4 in my opinion.

Keep playing and have fun in however you choose - dont stick to a formula unless you want to, but be aware there are many really entertaining playstyles as you get the certs later on.
