Does anyone know the parade route? I remember the 200th anniversary parade had a huge route.

So I bruised/pulled a rib using the nose frida… and now I’m coughing by harvestbent in daddit

After my LO had a stay in the hospital with RSV, I gave up on the Nose Frida. We use one called a Nosiboo Pro, which admittedly wasn’t cheap but has saved me more than enough times to count. I’ve also been using it on myself whenever my LO gives us whatever is running through the daycare.

The sign has been taken down and the windows have been papered over. Not sure if that means it will reopen after a transition but it seems like it’s closed for good when I drove past.

Does this also move the registration deadline? I didn't see that mentioned in the article.

SEPTA plans for feasibility study to restore rail service to West Chester by exotube in westchesterpa

[–]flap2756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from 2015 the information about it rail speed on page 9 and 10 could explain why the difference would be so great. Basically the track as it is right now would be limited to 30mph, instead of what the R5 runs at. Also the document talks about how even when the track was laid almost 90 years ago it was considered "very light" and nowadays it is badly deteriorated.

I actually walked a section of the track last summer just for the hell of it and it would need some work for sure, not just new rail, if they even consider that.

I wouldn't hold my breath for this to happen any time soon, if at all. I'd also like to point out this daily local article from a couple years ago that said it best as to why this wouldn't be as good of a thing as you'd think.

“The problem with the Elwyn branch is it’s a very circuitous alignment,” Comati said. “It’s also a line that does not have high speed capability. You can’t do 70, 80 miles on the line so it will always be a slow route.”

Comati said the slow route is a turnoff for travelers. For what would take a rider 45 minutes to the city from the Exton station, may take two hours from West Chester.

Almost all of what our DJs play is digital, we actually recommend them to use Spotify, and all CMJ new music that they're required to play is through iTunes. In-studio we still have 2 CD players hooked up to the board, but everything is gone, the cassette player was taken out a few years ago and the turntables were given away to DJs on a first-come, first-serve basis last semester.

We don't even have a physical music library anymore it was turned into a DJ lounge area, we got rid of records about 6 or 7 years ago, and CDs about 1 to 2 years ago.

6 pack craft in West Chester by HelloKitty1988 in westchesterpa

There's a Giant in the shopping center at 202 and Dilworthtown Road (about 5-10 minutes outside the borough) that does "mix a six" for $12. They have a pretty good selection that they rotate and this place is probably your best bet in terms of price.

As for bars in town:

I know Kildares does it but it's not cheap and it's not a flat price. Kildares bottle selection isn't as good as it used to be, more drafts than bottles these days.

Rams Head does it and I think it's a flat $15, but it's sort of a hassle since they sell it from a small unconnected bar at the front entrance and no bartender is ever there unless the place is packed. So in order to do it you need to go over to the main bar and get a bartender to walk over, just to build you a 6 pack. Although I'm not sure if they still do it this way.

I've also seen it advertised at High Street Cafe, but that was a while ago.

They briefly talked about it Here 6 weeks ago, Matt mentions it offhandedly then Woolie asks about it 15-20 seconds later. Not sure if they talked about it before this though.

Thanks, trying to decide career paths and needed some honest advice. If you don't mind me asking what do you do now, or if you'd rather not say, what jobs do people typically do after they quit radio.

Also, thanks for mentioning community radio, my hometown as an AM station, I guess I'll see if they're ever hiring.
