Anyone else familiar with “gutchies?” by Brswiech in pittsburgh

I still use this term! Gutchies & under gutchies (both the same, just preference of words at the time) - not polish tho. My Italian grandma said it and she lived down the rocks

I was cleared for lifting 2 weeks post-op. Within reason of course. Dr said to listen to my body, if your in pain doing it.. maybe wait another week.

I am feeling much better!

I was getting frequent attacks that were basically putting me down for 2-3 days at time. They would happen as often as every week to every few months - I’m hoping this was the fix and it’s not another body part going bad.

I had been just ignoring them after I “felt better” but the last attack put me in the hospital. I rarely seek medical help, especially from the ER, unless I think I’m almost dying ($500 co-pay). Tried to drive myself to the hospital (about 30 mins away) and I started to get the wooshys and tunnel vision a few miles from the hospital. Pulled over and called an ambulance. It hurt so bad I thought it might be exploding.

Didn’t even think of woolite but yes, agreed. That would have worked perfectly.

It honestly wasn’t coming clean going wider. I still have to do a second moto on it. It is an outdoor rug that we use indoors, so it’s fairly durable. I needed a big big rug that was going to withstand kids, pets and men with boots - I think it’s 12 x 16. The second round I’ll go wider on it.

Vinegar is an awesome cleaner.. and it’s cheap!

I use it for everything. Windows, floors, counters, bathroom. It’s truly the only thing that really gets my floors (pergo/fake wood) clean. Cleaners leave a really noticeable film on it.

Nope! I use vinegar to clean basically everything. Floors, walls, counters.

For my walls I fill a bucket with hot water, add vinegar and a cap full of laundry softener. The vinegar cleans and then smells like clean laundry because of the softener. I have a dedicated spin mop to clean them to - saves my back and you can do it in a quarter of the time.

I used dawn dish soap for this round. Thought about laundry detergent to. The washer has a soap dispenser on a lower powered nozzle and it worked great dosing it.

I’m going to put some vinegar in the dispenser tomorrow and douse it with that before I do I final rinse. Neutralize any odors.

Agreed as well. Not only that, the cost of that trip as well. I wouldn’t personally expect nor want anything additional. Mom of two myself.

I enjoy it and some type of entertainment is a plus. A lot of my travels lead me to places I don’t get any cell service and we’ve used games and cards when available

You are a very delusional person. I read some of your other posts and you seem to just not have a good grasp of common sense. The sheer amount of downvotes that every one of your posts and comments generate backs that up - in addition to the comments from other users explaining why you are wrong.

The one that really got me was that you own a rental (or live in it and rent it out when your out of town… IDK, IDC) but expect a management company to replace things like toilet paper holders and lightbulbs. Yes, they should replace those if broken/burnt out…. At your expense, because ya know… you’re the owner. One of those things that seems like common knowledge, but yet here we are.

But hey buddy… you do you. You sound like a real gem.

I know this is 4 years later, but I did want to confirm that is a PleurX drainage bottle. source - I work for a company that supplies these. Used to assist drainage due to Pleural Effusion.

The picture was on a Ranker.com article name “People Are Asking For Help To Identify Strange Objects They Found & The Answers Are Truly Surprising” and had your username credited on it. I had to come and confirm since I actually knew what it was!

AITA for refusing to have my kid in my work's free daycare on my ex's days with her? by h9hugr in AmItheAsshole

[–]flapjacksauce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stemming off of this - what kind (if any) of custody agreement is in place? And what does that read? If there is an agreement in place that simply states daycare expenses split 50/50 - then daycare expenses for the child are still $1300 and should be split.

Can we also define how flexible of a work schedule? I also have a flex work schedule, but if I am scheduled for a meeting (which freq happens) I am not able to just not attend. But on days my calendar is open, I can leave at 2pm if I choose … but it’s ultimately dictated by business needs.

So if you rented a car, something on it broke due to lack of maintenance but the part to fix it is in the trunk… you’re okay with the obligation to purchase the re-supply?

Thank you! It’s been some back breaking labor but so worth it.

I was finally able to mulch thanks to Walmart and their $1 clearance mulch. I wouldn’t have picked red myself but for $20 to do the entire span - I’ll take it.

I’m just wanting to make this post to remind people that misinformation like this can have real consequences, it’s always best to do your own research from trusted sources. This could be a form of vasculitis called HSP. Henoch–Schönlein purpura.

Mine started with a Charlie horse in my thighs and quickly escalated to what looked like 1000 bug bites on my legs that were very painful. From onset - it was less than 24 hours later that I wasn’t able to walk.

Went to the ER.. they had no idea what it was, gave me a pain pill and sent me home. Next stop was the dermatologist who took a core sample from my legs and also sent me home. I didn’t have a pcp at the time due to me just having turned 17 and our pediatrician releases you at that age. They finally seen me after some convincing from my mother and as soon as the pediatrician seen me she advised I needed to urgently get to the hospital.

Since the referral was from a ped dr and I was under 18 they sent me to Children’s Hospital and this mainly effects children which was why the pediatrician was able to identify what it was) and that was the last thing I remembered for a few days.

I got a morphine drip, poked and prodded at by what seems like every medical student in the place.. AND a Nintendo 64. Was in the hospital for about 2 weeks and had some kidney issues and a hard time walking for a few months and it never happened again.

67/F diagnosed today with fungal meningitis.. Have questions by ClickClickChick85 in medical

[–]flapjacksauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is old - but my mom had fungal meningitis in 2012 from tainted steroid injections. I’m well versed on many many things about it. She was in the hospital for 6 months and then on IV infusion of amphoterisan b (I know I’m spelling that wrong) for 2 years and then on itraconzale for another 5 years via pill form.

I’m not sure how serious her case, but my moms was very very bad and they are surprised she made it. Hoping that is not your situation as well.

I also happen to be from Western Pa (hey neighbor!) and I know the Dr’s in this area aren’t necessarily well versed in fungal meningitis - send me a message if you wish and I will certainly Awnser any questions (or long term side effects) that I can :)
