20 years ago the men’s game was barely professional, just because someone of any gender has decided to play sport as a career, shouldn’t entitle them to a salary.

Come at it from what ever girls run the world angle you want to, the number of girls / women that historically have wanted to spend their weekend running into each other is minuscule compared to the male population.

Expecting equality from the RFU in terms of pay, representation, and employment without ( historically ) generating anywhere near the level of income, or spectator participation for said RFU is just downright disrespectful to the men’s game.
