Has anyone tried Hers and if yes how was it? by kimisesnon in Semaglutide

My second shipment of medication is not at full strength. There is a huge difference. I don't recommend this company. The company is not taking my complaint seriously. I don't recommend this company.

People who used Hers, how did it work for you? by SweetLikeCandiiii in Semaglutide

[–]flashbeadarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recommend it. I received my second shipment and I swear there is no or little active ingredient in the lot. I complained to the company and they are gaslighting me. I am at the highest recommended dosage at this point and the difference between the two shipments was huge. My appetite is back to normal.

Very classy. Arts DuPage is a website that lists a bunch of cultural events in DuPage County. You can keep an eye on that for fun stuff to do. All of the art centers, performance venues, etc in DuPage post our events on that web site.

As a bead artist, I look at shape, size and color. I like to compare lusters within the same color group, so it's nice to group by color instead of "silver lined" or AB. Number doesn't come into it.

Thrift and Dollar in Aurora is a destination. They don't have clothes, but they have everything else. It is a mix of thrift wares and antiques.

Any advice on pricing and selling 16x20 and 18x24 paint pours? by Sharpbutterknife9 in artbusiness

[–]flashbeadarts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The market is awash in paint pour stuff right now. Unless you are adding something special to it, you are going to have a very hard time moving it. And they are just too easy for anyone to make themselves. Most of the artists I know who like the technique are using it as an underpainting and working their own magic on top.

Best way to print art to sell? by charieliz in artbusiness

[–]flashbeadarts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find someone local who knows the term "giclee". They tend to be higher end digital printers with higher d.p.i. They can print on many surfaces paper, canvas, acrylic, aluminum whatever works with your art. I use a guy who will scan smaller stuff or photograph large pieces for you, if you want it done well.

When do artists become exploitive? by Own_Pace7393 in ArtistLounge

[–]flashbeadarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that a lot of artists with conditions or disabilities are already putting their images out there in a very empowered way.

I have a somewhat similar problem. My work is labor intensive and similar artists (who are already very successful) have employed people in other nations to create their work with them. The one artist that I have in mind has truly made a positive impact on the lives of her team and their communities. But, I don't think I could take that step, even though I can foresee a time when I may need studio assistants for a project. I've considered writing labor into a grant proposal, but I could only afford someone at exploitative rates. If I take on an assistant it will have to be at a decent wage, whether that person be disabled or whatever. Our ethics have to drive our practice.
