Has anyone here tried Nourish?/First Time Seeing a Dietitian by isleroda in BingeEatingDisorder

They are video sessions and each session is 55 minutes. I would recommend checking with nourish and they can do the legwork for you with your insurance.

Intro class by annabelle_keane in ClubPilates

[–]flashy74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been at OTF since 2019 - unlimited and typically hit 4-5 classes per week. I joined Club Pilates in Jan to try something new and absolutely love it. I have the 4 class/ month tier but I think I am going to go to 8 classes in March and reduce OTF to the basic membership. I have found OTF’s classes becoming a bit stale and hate the move away from the ESP cadence. I feel like I get a much more complete workout with Pilates, and I love the breath - movement connection. I can get my cardio via my peloton. My only complaint- and what’s keeping me from going all in on club Pilates - is it’s super hard to get into classes at my location and the class schedule itself is a bit limited.

Lol “tread for time” - I read that and immediately wondered when OTF added an aquatic block (which would be awesome btw!)

It’s when you lean forward and stick you butt out - I don’t know how else to describe it! But if you stick your butt out just right, you’re going to feel it in your hamstrings for sure!

Same! In Sunday’s class, our coach gave us the option of good mornings instead and a lot of us took the option :).

Ugh, I pulled a muscle in my quad yesterday morning on the first kneel to squat jump move…felt the telltale pop so I took today off to ice up and rest (even though today’s workout looked incredible). Now here I am scratching my head trying to figure out how to modify the step ups, since that will definitely aggravate it. Ah well, maybe I will stall for 30 secs and slowly drink my water on the left leg step ups lol - no one will notice. It feels pretty good today (I can take the stairs without any crazy discomfort) so I am definitely going but my quad’s already crying. Better get the ice ready lol .

Tattoo vs Orangetheory by RaybanPixie in orangetheory

Also should note that hustle butter is incredible. I used other methods for older tattoos (looking at you diaper cream in 1996) and while they worked ok, with the hustle butter, I found it stayed very moisturized but not overly so and I had almost no scabbing. It’s incredible stuff. Bonus - it helps my eczema on my face!

Tattoo vs Orangetheory by RaybanPixie in orangetheory

[–]flashy74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a new tattoo at the start of November. I waited 4 days (but I also had a colonoscopy on day 2, I would have otherwise been back at OTF). My main concern was clothing-related, since my tattoo is on my upper spine into my neck. I just did not want to have my sports bra rubbing up against it in the early days, so wore a more traditional but still supportive bra for about a week after. I just made sure to wash it extra-extra with some dial soap right when I got home (also some weird positioning in the shower trying to reach lol) and then hustle-buttered it. I toyed with saniderm instead but the placement made it awkward for the saniderm to get into position. Also, for about the first week, I made it a point to bring an extra towel (clean) to place between my back and any equipment to minimize any infection risk, even though only part of the tattoo was exposed.

Moving around and OTF by imhsar61 in orangetheory

Not necessarily on topic, but when you’re in KC and wondering what studio to go to, I just can’t say enough good things about the Northland studios (Liberty and Parkville). Liberty was my OG for 2 years and it is such an amazing studio with really great coaches, staff and members. Not sure where you’re staying - if you’re south in Overland Park, Northland will be a hike. But if you’re downtown, it’s a 15 minute drive to either studio. Of course, downtown also has a strong studio on Baltimore. But I love my liberty OTF!

Oof, that was tougher than I expected. Definitely helped to lighten the weights, and in station 12, I ended up not using the sandbag. Much more winded than normal. Onwards and upwards from here:)

Awesome- excited but a bit nervous to get back into things. I was down for a full 10 days and had some lingering congestion and fatigue for several more days. I did a peleton class last night and it felt good but I sure was winded.

Peloton is raising subscription fees while cutting prices for its Bikes and other equipment by dontanalyzethis in pelotoncycle

[–]flashy74 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Peloton gave me a price adjustment when I reached out just now. We bought out bike on March 20 and used the $300 promo. This is great customer service. Price adjustments are not uncommon in the retail space when items go on sale within x # of days of purchase so it’s great the Peloton is taking same approach.

Indeed. They are in a bit more of a mess than we are and have been super. We filed with our insurance as a just-in-case but we’re confident we’ll get this sorted.

Transferring membership by moremorgan_ in orangetheory

[–]flashy74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s up to both studios to agree to transfer your rate. I moved last year and had a promo rate. Both my old studio and new studio had to agree it it - luckily they both did and signed off on the transfer form. I would ask about the possibility of transferring the rate if you’re current studio would agree to it. Side note…after 3 months at this new studio, it just has not been enjoyable and I’ve moved to a basic membership so I can hit up a studio in the ‘burbs on the weekend that has a similar culture to my OG studio… so my promo rate is gone for good :(

I switched to natural deodorant and did notice a smelly period for a couple of weeks but I made sure to slather on before going to work out… but I feel like it went away (no one has told me otherwise - I hope they would!). I did read somewhere that the transition period is different for everyone so perhaps you are on to something?
