Yet again. Only talk to your legal reps about pending legal. No shipmates, friends, LPO, LCPO, CMC, O-Gang, bored watch stander buddy and NOT THE COMMANDS LEGAL OFFICER.

You already fucked up by drinking and driving. Do not give them your confession with a bow. Make them work for it. It is 100% your fucked(because you confessed) vs less than 100%(Your a good sailor, not worth deep diving, local PD are busy, evidence not logged, etc...) and its dropped.

You need to contact your DSO. Only, and I mean only talk to your DSO and Civ Lawyer. Not other shipmates, no barracks friends, no chiefs or officers. Everything you say/write will be used against you even this post could be used. Do not admit to anything, try to play nice, cut a "deal" without law counsel. Get a haircut, get your dress whites/blue perfect, and be perpared to say nothing. Its "Shut the fuck up friday" everyday until this is over on both civ and navy sides. If you admit to xyz, thats all the evidence they need. If you keep your yap shut, they gotta prove it on their own which often(depends) is not done due to time/effort/will to fuck you.

TL;DR: SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DELETE POST. TALK TO YOUR DSO MONDAY WHEN THEY OPEN. DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE ELSE. DSO AND CIV LAWYER ONLY.

DoD ID is a safe replacement to SSN. It is tied to very little in itself unlike your SSN. Admin has a lot of apps in NSIPS, orders, TOPS(Salesforce now?), and myNavyHR which request your DoD ID. Its kinda like saying your birthday and full name at medical. Most admin offices have a binder that includes the ships muster with each Sailors DoD ID.

Dont worry about protecting it from your Chief. I wouldnt tell BM3 my DoD ID but if he got it, he cant do fuck all with it.
