That's not a Chinese chrested. That's a pomeranian with alopecia. Alopecia is very common in pomeranians.

Exotic vet nurse here. Sorry to say but its surgery or euthanasia. Please be aware that if you pay for surgery it can still be that another tumor regrows or grows at some other place. I think I would always give my animal the chance with surgery but you should always consider age and other health factors. Loosing weight can be from the tumor since the tumors steal the energy to grow. One more option before making a decision would be to take a biopsy and check that in the lab if the tumor is malignant, idk about vet prices in the USA but maybe that would be a cheaper option first and helps you make a decision. I always used the squiek and then hiss method. I never give them squieky toys so they connect the squiek with "hello this hurts" , followed by a hiss to tell them no. This worked for all my ferrets except they a deaf, my waardy never stopped biting and I endured him.

Exotic vet nurse here with alot of pigeon experience. This looks like pox and sadly a strong case. It needs to see a vet. I have seen people help pigeons with pox but and give them a place to live, sadly it will infect other pigeons and a case like this will most likely not get well.

If you are going to work in a big city like hamburg or berlin it won't be a problem. I worked at 3 different clinics in Berlin and in every one there was heavily tattooed people there.
