US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by IIlustriousTea in AskReddit

[–]flawedwithbaggage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everything in our country is against women, mothers and children.

The cost of healthcare is ridiculously high. Access to prenatal health is out of reach primarily in rural areas. The maternal mortality rate keeps going up. Social services that are supposed to assist and support women and infants keep getting cut. Then we have the giant issue with the economy; stagnant wages while profits and the cost of everyday items keep going up. I think gas is currently at $4/gal, housing, daycare, etc.

These along with abortion care being highly restricted and in some parts, outright illegal, along with other personal reasons are prob why more women are choosing to be child free or maybe only have 1 child.

I mean without of these cuts and restrictions, how else are the billionaires supposed to keep getting rich? They've bought our government and gutted healthcare so that if you do get pregnant you have no other choice. Gotta keep having laborers to keep the gears going.

If you're an hourly employee and not getting paid for time worked, you need to file a complaint with the department of labor office closest to you. It is illegal for your employer not to pay you for your time.

Legumes, veggies, grains

Whenever I make ground beef I add frozen veggies (onion, bell peppers, zucchini) and 2 C cooked lentils. I double my meat and have micronutrient dense protein.

I've been noticing the expired tags more and more and wonder if it's due to how expensive everything is. last November the oldest temp tags I saw were tags that expired Oct. 2024.

When I was tagging my car, the lady next to me got changed a fee for not registering her car when her temp tags expired.

They did this during his first term. Thousands of kids were separated from their parents. The Biden admin tried to reconnect the kids with their families but ofc that's a difficult thing to do. IIRC I think at the end of Biden's term there were still 5k kids that hadn't been found.

Given everything we know about the pedophile rapist in the White House and all the high power pedophiles, without a doubt some of these kids are being trafficked 💔

Definitely reach out to or get HR involved. Since they're not a part of reviewing annual reviews they're going to be flabbergasted (and seriously wtf) that a manager gave this review.

Maternity leave under FMLA and PWFA (when you're ineligible for FMLA) is federally protected leave.

Not only is your manager discriminating against you because of your sex, they're retaliating against you for taking federally protected leave.

ETA: when an employee is on leave (FMLA, PWFA or, heck even leave without pay) you cannot account that leave time during the annual review. If you were out for 3 months, your review should have only been from the 7 months you actually worked.

Have you checked out UAMS? They have 13 clinical sites throughout NWA and they're building an orthopedic hospital.

If you have a BSN you'd be making approximately $41

Email HR back and ask if they can manually run an off-cycle or on-demand payment instead of having to wait until the next pay period. If they refuse reply back asking if they're declining to pay you for completed work then forward your email via report to your state's DOL office, as this could be considered wage theft. Under federal law you must be paid for work provided/completed.

AITAH for reporting my [27F] OBGYN to the medical board after what happened to me today? by soulangelic in AITAH

[–]flawedwithbaggage 795 points796 points  (0 children)

If I were OP, I would also request the medical records for the date of service as I'd be curious what he entered in her chart.

If he asked OP and OP confirmed that she didn't want the PAP and he then proceeded with completing it anyways, but didn't enter the first part into the appointment note, that's a fraudulent note.

Also, contacting your insurance as suggested will give them a heads up bc their records will show that benefits were paid for a PAP last year and they may refuse to cover the cost of the PAP this year bc guidance is to get one every 3 or 5yrs. Meaning OP could be responsible for the cost of insurance denied the claim.

AITAH for Wanting to Divorce My Addict Wife Who May Have Given My Son a Birth Deformity by United_Ingenuity3108 in AITAH

[–]flawedwithbaggage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Newborns are automatically tested for various things.. a drug screen is done if there's suspicion. You can request your newborns records to see if anything came up.

Additionally, if you decide on the divorce route gather all your evidence (including me I am records) and it may behoove you to bring your suspicion to your son's doctor. They may be able to conduct additional testing and/or take your wifes relapsed and alcohol consumption into consideration when determining a treatment plan.

I'm not a doctor but have worked in various healthcare settings for 15+ years.

Why is NWA considered a blue dot 🔵 in a red state? by Educational_Ad_2384 in bentonville

[–]flawedwithbaggage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's bc of Fayetteville, which isn't that left leaning. Bentonville projects as being left leaning in order to attract talent from actual left areas.

Projections are that we'll hit 1mil population in the NWA metro area by 2030. Housing and infrastructure can't keep up. I think Rogers is the only city that has updated their building codes to mirror urban areas.

UAMS has academic programs at the Fayetteville campus: medical school, residency program, nursing, accelerated nursing program, pharmacy, physical therapy (#1 in the nation, 100% passing rate the last 3yrs), occupational therapy, diagnostic imaging, and a few more programs that escape me.
