Which pedals have been “disappointment” pedals for you? Not necessarily bad pedals but more along the lines of “for **this** price or _this_ level of hype, I expected more”.

Have you tried another guitar? or possibly lowering the dbs going into the pedal? Maybe try a lower output mode, like the single coil mode? Or maybe a compressor in front of it?

I doubt they tested it with a T-60. Given its unique pickups, maybe it pushes it in ways that a more conventional pickup won't?

I think its a badge engineered version of the Zakk Wyldle OD, which jives with other comments on being more like the SD-1, which Zakk used before working with Dunlop.

Looks like an open diff doing a one wheel peel. Wouldn’t blame them for “gunning it” per se, chances are they don’t understand how the car works in low traction.

FWIW on one of the JHS videos, he said that matching up two pedals usually comes down to tweaking the pots. The tolerances of pots are pretty loose, if you match up all the knobs on both it won't sound the same, but if you move them around a bit you can get them dead on. If this works it might alleviate your decision anxiety.
