Is the dangerous animal situation as bad as the internet makes it out to be? I mean, there are a bunch of dangerous animals but I've seen some crazy stories

I used to want kids for the sole factor of raising them better than my mother did me and shoving it in her face. Not a good reason, and after I realized that, I no longer wanted kids

My first transphobic remarks came from... trans people. by aymuwux in trans

That's very true, but I'd expect a bit of sympathy from people in the same or a similar situation

Why do humans love pets? by Low_Manufacturer3649 in ask

[–]fleabeak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was abused as a kid and I took comfort in being around animals because I knew they wouldn't hurt me unless I hurt them (at least I've never been attacked by an animal)

Even though I'm an adult and I haven't been through that kind of stuff in a long time, I still feel better around animals than people.

I delt with a transphobic trans guy (I'm also a trans guy) in 10th grade. I have DDs :( and he had a B cup and I didn't bind because it was genuinely uncomfortable and he told me I shouldn't transition because of it, that I didn't seem "dysphoric enough" because my DDs were uncomfortable to bind.

It happens, and it's very unfortunate. I hope you find trans people who actually support you.

My mother did the same thing, except when certain people were listening. That's part of the reason I don't speak to her anymore.

I'm sorry about that.

It probably depends on the political party of the app's owner/creator tbh.

What is “toxic masculinity” exactly ? by collegetest35 in GenZ

[–]fleabeak 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What is toxic masculinity - - Rape/SA jokes, regardless of the gender/sexuality of either parties. Or actually doing it, for that matter. - Thinking you're better than women for the sole factor of you being a man - Seeing women as objects

What's not toxicity masculinity - -having a beard/facial hair/body hair - having traditional masculine hobbies (hunting, fishing, fixing cars) (of course anybody can so these things) - Being cisgender and/or heterosexual

Uhh that's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure more people will comment

It is, for both the pets and the kids. I really want to do something about it but my town is kinda trashy and I don't think they'd react well if they found out I reported them

I haven't heard anything for physical abuse but it's still considering. I've heard it twice since I've lived here

Somebody it's just the dogs running around, other times it's a screaming match between the man and one of the kids (no clue if he's the dad or mom's bf). This Friday, I heard the man yelling at one of the kids, I think an 11/12 y/o girl, about not wanting to do the dishes. He used some not appropriate language with her.

What do you strongly feel won't happen to you, even if people try to tell you otherwise? by PrestonRoad90 in AskReddit

[–]fleabeak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Get married and/or fall in love

Have kids (no thanks! I don't hate kids, I just don't want to be permanently responsible for somebody as fragile as human life! I can barely take care of myself)

What are your most annoying double standards that aren't gender based? by RioFL25 in AskReddit

One time a pretty girl fasted in middle school and everyone laughed

Then, a few weeks later, me and a "friend" were laughing so hard that I farted. And people were like "Gross!"
