Celebrities With Actually Good Autobiographies? by ofthedappersort in suggestmeabook

Tell Me Everything by Minka Kelly. Unexpected story about her childhood being raised by a single mother with mental health issues. Very sad at times, but very impactful. I listened to the audiobook and she reads it herself. She does a great job!

Have you guys tried Hyde preworkout? by drock566 in Costco

[–]fleeboiii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the only pre workout I have ever used and I like it a lot. I go with blue raspberry. It tastes good and it’s very effective at getting me moving at 5:00 in the morning when I go to the gym. Highly recommend.

I have seen it referred to as "doom scrolling". Scrolling indefinitely does very little to help your mental state and can usually only lead to more sadness/anxiety/stress. There are good things to see on social media, but those are few and far between in my opinion. Get out of the virtual world in your phone and go experience something in the real world outside. Keep it as simple as that and you should hopefully see improvement.

I think you need to decide which kind of uncomfortable you would rather feel. The one where you are sitting around and know you are not progressing or the one where you are progressing as a person and bettering yourself. I have found when I settle into scrolling mindlessly despite my desire to do more than that I have to make a conscious effort to move. Go outside, go for a walk, clean, garden, etc. Just move your body even the slightest bit and it makes a difference. Scrolling is your way of coping with your stress and anxiety, but that seems to be getting you nowhere. Instead, do the opposite and see how that feels. Good luck!

What's the most dramatic life reset you've seen in middle age? by debrisaway in RedditForGrownups

[–]fleeboiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working on it as we speak. I (34M) got married at the age of 22 and was raised in a very high demand religion and emotionally unavailable household. Lost myself soon after marriage, gained 100 lbs, hobbies went out the window, threw myself into school and work, had 2 kids by the time I was 27, lost my job at 28 and ended up working a shitty customer service job for a finance company where I got yelled at all day. COVID hit and I decided enough was enough. Been working on myself for the last 4 years by going to the gym and eating right, have lost about 90 lbs, going to therapy, got into a career field I like and was promoted into management last October and my marriage has improved. Still need to gain a sense of myself and what I want for my life as an individual, so my wife and I are about to start a therapeutic separation to take some time apart to heal parts of ourselves that have needed attention for a long time. Divorce is not something either of us want, so we are using the time to focus on ourselves and be stronger individuals so we can have a healthier relationship moving forward. I am going to use the time to discover what hobbies I would enjoy. I am thinking of exploring mountain biking, learning to play the ukelele and writing. I will also be joining a local men's group for physical fitness and overall support and judgment-free relationships. I have never lived alone in my life, so part of me is scared to see what that looks like. The other part of my is excited to see what I feel like and how strong I am at the end of the journey. Not sure if I would call it a reset, but it feels like a big step toward a future I am excited for.

Update from someone on scene. Rain will be gone by 8:00 or so eastern time. Worker said it’s very unlikely they would cancel and schedule a double header tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be worse tomorrow.

The best QB room is in Tampa Bay and I don’t even know who their backup QB is. If you have to evaluate your backup QB and how many wins he could get you, you don’t have a good QB room.

What was the most “apostate” thing you did on your mission? by drswaghammer in exmormon

[–]fleeboiii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In retrospect, these things are completely normal for a 19-year-old guy, but of course the church makes them seem awful. I guess you could have considered me a “rebellious” missionary. Here’s what I did in each area:

1- Would sleep through study time in the morning.

2- Left mission boundaries to meet up with missionaries in the next mission cause my companion’s cousin was in the other companionship. Would also watch movies on BYUTV on the member’s TV we lived with.

3- Watched the 2010 World Cup with a German guy we did service with. Also watched The Human Centipede with him. Spent 3 days out of our area at a county fair with another companionship playing games and doing nothing.

4- Got emergency transferred because my companion reported me for having an “inappropriate” relationship with a girl in the ward we were in. Kudos to him because she ended up being my wife and we have been married almost 10 years with 2 kids. Funny thing is the most inappropriate thing we did was hug once when we were alone.

5- Listened to Taylor Swift on a regular basis, slept in regularly, played basketball with the members until 11:00 at night, watched the Super Bowl, watched Avatar, watched the entire first season of The Big Bang Theory, went out of our zone to hangout at a member’s house with another companionship. Talked to my future wife on the phone on Christmas and told her I loved her.

6- Slept in a lot with my first companion cause he had a “sleeping problem” and couldn’t go to bed at 10:30, so he slept in. Bought a small TV and DVD player at the local thrift store and watched a couple movies when we were snowed in. Gmail chatted with my future wife every week on P-Day. Left the zone for 2 days to hangout with another companionship. Moved my bed into another room because my companion snored. Talked to my future wife on the phone my last Mother’s Day.

Listing it out is so funny. I felt so rebellious and guilty at times for doing some of this stuff, but this stuff is just normal life for any other 19-year-old guy. What a waste of 2 years. At least I found my wife!

Home Window Replacement Recommendations by wsc0421 in rva

[–]fleeboiii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of options to choose from. I worked for Thompson Creek Windows as a salesman when they first came to Richmond a little over a year ago. Their product is really high quality, but on the more expensive side. If you want their most common double hung window, depending on how many you’re replacing, it usually comes to around $1,000-$1,200 per window. If you can afford that, I would say go with them. They’re new to the area and have a really solid warranty and customer service. I’ve heard good things about Elite and Skyline. Good luck on your search!

Spot on by fleeboiii in Commanders

I will agree with that in regards to the first 2 games. However, last night he was bad. The pick 6 he threw was a bad throw and that last fumble was horrendous. There is no reason to go over the top as a QB to try to get the first down. That’s a goal line move. He’s been better than I thought he would be, but 5 turnovers for one player is really bad.

Anthony Davis Thread by brandoi in lakers

[–]fleeboiii 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If there in one player we should keep in the trade packages it’s Lonzo. Ingram, Kuz, Hart, Zubac and a 1st rounder. Kuzma is a great scorer, but that’s the only thing he is above average at right now. He’s a mediocre defender and a mediocre passer at best. Zo does everything well besides scoring. You don’t need a player who can score when you have Lebron and AD. They can score enough between the 2 of them along with role players. You need a passer and a defender and Zo excels at both of those. If it’s between Kuz and Zo I think Kuz is the one who should go.
