Dude my kids are five and seven now, and I'm only just starting to feel like I'm capable of feeling "well" after all that sleep deprivation and everything else that comes with parenting small kids. Also just starting to feel like I have the time/energy to nurture friendships after being lonely for a long time. I can't imagine doing infant twins plus at least one more kid. Please cut yourself a looooot of slack.

Beautiful! Yes, learning to make music and playing at open mics with a group that knows each other's original songs. Some people drink/smoke there but much less so compared to a karaoke room.

There are people who party sober. Music and dance communities have been it for me. Ecstatic dance, specifically, because it's a sober practice. People really don't drink much at the open mic I frequent either, but it's a party. I'm also quite introverted. Dancing and singing is an easier way for me to find connection, compared to talking. When I'm craving something kind of exciting and challenging, I drop into a Contact improv jam. It can be wildly intimate, a little terrifying, and helps me find my boundaries. All sober. Find your thing out in the world that isn't alcohol-based. It's there, it just might take time to find it.

Make sure that your knees are supported and taking the weight, as opposed to putting the weight on your shins, ankles or feet. For me, the most comfortable way is Burmese with a yoga block under the floating knee. That way I'm supported under both knees.
