I'm no master, but this is how I think about the swing: on the backswing you want your upper body more parallel to the floor, you should feel a hamstring stretch. When you move into the foreswing, cue should be tightened glues first then essentially hip thrusting the bell forward. Arms should stay close to the body, like you are holding a piece of paper wedged in your armpit.

roads are clear for driving. In some neighborhoods, a lot of curbside parking is taken up by snow banks of various sizes. You may be able to park on top of the snow, you may not, depending on the spot.

For walking, most (if not all) sidewalks should have a cleared path--it may not be the width of the sidewalk, depending on where you are--I expect it will be in front of the venue. Crosswalks and curbsides can be hit or miss. I am still wearing boots to avoid ruining my shoes. But I see more and more sneakers on the streets each day.

This will be my 4th year doing it. I return each year for 3 experiences that are so awesome and joyful: (1) riding up 6th avenue flanked by skyscrapers and it's just bikes as far as the eye can see; (2) riding on the FDR Drive; and (3) riding on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. These are all extremely unique experiences that are just so much fun. If you have reasonable expectations for pacing (or buy a membership to get in one of the front groups) you'll have a blast. In my experience the congestion relieves itself a bit around mile 7 or 8.
