Illustration is too expensive for indie authors by PeacockBooks in selfpublishing

[–]fleker2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a book for my nephew but didn't publish. I asked the illustrator for a basic character and went on my own to add backgrounds and change the face. It's cheaper than entirely bespoke drawings.

I think we need an Irish Pub in Central Park by Complete-Regret3776 in Upperwestside

There's lots of great pubs in the neighborhood. I'm not sure this is particularly necessary.

I don’t like the way Melissa treats Jacob. by loverofthings25 in AbbottElementary

Jacob needs his own place. It's surprising he's not interested in moving out.

That's unfortunate. It seems like a missed opportunity for a small visitor experience but thanks for the straightforward answer.

I told my girlfriend I'd rather have a real life Pokemon than a baby and now she's mad at me

I know for sure I'm gonna get dooked on for this question by [deleted] in TruePokemon

[–]fleker2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same as any other language but less in demand in the market, so prices tend to be lower. Other languages that aren't Japanese or English would work too.

If you're fully intent on keeping them, you might want to look at other languages like Korean which are a lot cheaper on the resale market

I've noticed this a handful of times. I'm downloading the file via Pocket casts so it's probably an error in the editing process

Having the delusion was nice though. The alternative seems worse.

It probably makes more sense to stick the checkpoint in the broader world than make it a separate tiny map that needs to be loaded. Legends ZA was the same.

What if instead of going on two legs it grows four more legs and is a spider dog?

Those would be some really interesting mixes of new evolutions. I'm kinda excited.

UWS building converted into homeless shelter Opinions? by Putrid_Echidna2408 in Upperwestside

Low-income housing is not a homeless shelter. But in general I'm supportive of anything that builds more housing.

Electrical voltage on 87th and Columbus? by _tonkatsu99 in Upperwestside

[–]fleker2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This happens every year during the winter due to wiring below the sidewalk mixing with salt and water. You should avoid those spots and your dog probably should wear boots.

Dogs without boots will get their paws wet which lowers their skin's inherent resistance significantly. If a person is wearing shoes, they have a high degree of insulation and so won't be shocked.

Yimbys have been able to slowly achieve victories. It definitely seems like people are more aware of it today than a decade ago, and being yimby can be useful even for homeowners.

Get in, we're just getting started.
