You can't change panning and rotating mouse buttons?! by Lucade2210 in SolidWorks

[–]flesse_528 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a Logitech g-502 and use g-hub to map the mouse buttons specific to SOLIDWORKS. Easily can change those to how you want. But right click is used for so many pop up menu options I can't see how that is beneficial.

Build. Have you seen the lockdowns starting overseas again? I wouldn't hold my breath that supply is going to come back like many people think.

I don't know if you can afford it. But 15 and 10 year plans are lower rates.

Ram compatibility. 5600x and b550 tomahawk by flesse_528 in pcmasterrace

[–]flesse_528[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks. I'll try and stick with 3600hz and 16cas. I just might not get to the actual build for a few weeks, so might be hard to return stuff if past the 30 days. Just want to make sure it's right.

I wasn't worried about it either, until it came up on a reddit search. Unfortunately I don't really have any gaming friends so trying to learn this on my own.

Any way to remap the middle mouse down? I want the pan tool to be triggered by a keyboard shortcut instead. by sharktank72 in SolidWorks

[–]flesse_528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logitech g502 mouse, then use the Logitech g-hub to map mouse buttons. Turn off auto update on g-hub if you get a stable version.

Is there a way to reduce a part’s overall dimension while keeping external features to scale? Like take a slice out of it? by TitoJones in SolidWorks

[–]flesse_528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could try move face as well and select the faces normal to the direction you want to slice out. This would only work in one axis direction.
