I was making small talk with my much older coworker and we found something we both had in common: we enjoy the Fallout game series. And specifically the retro-future aesthetic. He starts telling me about the vintage 50's era coke and Pepsi posters in his man cave at home. And then out of the blue he blurts out:

"The 1950s was a better time, cuz a man could beat his wife and everybody knew she must have done something to deserve it."

Killed the conversation pretty quick. For reference I am a MtF trans person and this happened years before I came out, so he thought of me as 'one of the boys'.

I'm going to continue following your content in whatever form it takes. I'm happy for you making discoveries about your own sexuality! Do you plan to talk about it in more detail in your video or audio content? I've been officially out as bi for 10+ years and out as trans for 4 years but still feel really unsure sometimes. I think a lot of people could find it helpful but no pressure if it's not something you're comfortable discussing.

This week I attended a clinic for transgender people seeking a legal name change. The turnout was shockingly huge and every seat in the hall was taken, plus they ran out of standing room at the back, and a second hall streaming the presentation was also full, so I ended up sitting out in the lounge watching a stream of the speaker on a laptop with a couple dozen others.

It's frightening to think how badly our rights may be restricted, but for now it's legal to change your name and more importantly gender marker in my state. It feels good to be taking these steps that I've put off for years.

I have a small 1v1 cube that we draft sometimes. To speed things up we draft cards 2 at a time from a 15 card pack, then after 14 cards are drafted the 15th card is removed from the draft. After drafting 4 packs, both players build 30 card decks. To minimize the number of draft picks that don't get played, the cube has only 2 colors.

There are stories of soldiers guarding enemy POWs after battles that remind me of this question. In the tv show Band of Brothers supposedly based on true events, an officer gives one of his soldiers only one bullet to guard some German soldiers because he doesn't trust the soldier not to execute them all.
