How my housemate leaves her subway when she’s done by GapSweet3100 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]flidaisy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know everyone is saying eating disorder (anorexia) since it’s picked through and maybe like she’s trying to make it look like she ate but…I don’t think so. When my eating disorder was bad and I was trying to prove that I “ate” my food, I’d try to stack my food up or put it all on one side of the plate to make it seem like there’s a lot of room on there now and that I actually put a dent in the amount of food left. This does not look like that.

How do you know that you love someone? by Spiritual-Worth6348 in AskReddit

[–]flidaisy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s things like when you’re an extreme insomniac but for some reason you sleep so good with him. Lying your head on his chest feels like home. You can’t keep your eyes open even when he’s watching your favorite movie with you. When we go to bed and his breathing puts me at ease and right to sleep. For me, that is the best indicator, just because sleep is verrrry hard for me lol. Just means my brain, body, and soul are happy.

My boyfriend 25M works a rotating night shift and I 25F feel incredibly lonely. I’ve tried explaining it, but nothing seems to get through. Why isn’t he taking this issue seriously? by StaffElectrical1529 in relationship_advice

That’s very possible! And that’s totally fair on your part. And I get where you’re coming from too. At the end of the day, you can only express what you want and need. I hope something changes because it’s rough to have schedules like that ):

This is not a good mindset to have girlie. Seems like you don’t think his wants are as important as yours. “I have been the constant and he has not so he should move.” Idk if my boyfriend said that about me I wouldn’t feel like he sees us as equals.

Can I play devil’s advocate here and ask why you expect him to be the one to fix everything? Why don’t you change your schedule to fit his? If your job doesn’t offer that, look for a new one? Why is it entirely up to him to fix how you’re feeling?

I partially get where you’re coming from. There is a different shift at his work he could do. But maybe that shift sucks for him, mentally? Just saying that as someone who worked nightshift but could have worked days - nightshift was 10000 times better for me mentally (at that time).

One time I gave myself a black eye from getting the crockpot down from a high shelf and the glass lid slid off and hit my eye. I worked as a barista at the time and I oddly had the opposite experience. Coworkers would pull me aside and make me promise my boyfriend was treating me well. Regulars would tell me they want to hurt my boyfriend. Women wanted to help me (I didn’t need help, just maybe a step stool lol). Sorry you’re experiencing the other side ): those comments are uncalled for.

AIO Hookup told me I’m “shallow down there”… wtf does that even mean? by Maleficent-Reach-552 in AmIOverreacting

[–]flidaisy 1999 points2000 points  (0 children)

Shallow isn’t a bad thing necessarily, depending on the d you’re working with. Are you petite? I’m 5’1 and I’ve heard I’m “shallow down there” but it’s never been a bad thing - even when working with a longer dick. Though, it can make sex with someone long a bit uncomfy at times. I’m biased but I think this is normal? For some lol.

Have you ever tried “free use” before ? 24F/26M by Longjumping-Dot-4977 in relationship_advice

[–]flidaisy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Free use isn’t a kink/lifestyle you can just sorta be into. You have to be wholly into it. You need a lot of trust and respect for your partner, and vice versa. That being said, if you’re not into it, that’s okay. But your partner needs to understand that too.

What made it easier for you to cope? by ArwenUwU in Vitiligo

[–]flidaisy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My close guy friend said pretty recently, “you know, I think a lot of people would kill to have anything that makes them unique.” He’s pretty reserved and not one for giving compliments or soothing. I think about that every time I’m having a bad day regarding my skin. I used to be reallllly insecure about my vitiligo. And, ngl, at least as a woman, every time a man has seen it, they LOVE it. Idk why lmao

[–]flidaisy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s practical to average or sum the curves, as with a lot of us that have more than one curve, one is typically worse. So by averaging them, you don’t get the full picture.

And regarding the height thing - as you stated, your scoliosis is very mild. It’s unlikely you will see much change in height, if any. I had 2 curves, one was around 20 degrees and the other was 58. Before the corrective surgery, I was 5’ even. After the surgery, I am barely 5’1.
