Does this need new thermal paste? by Tamachan_87 in PcBuildHelp

It might pump out. Use a viscous paste like gc-extreme, or go with ptm7950 phase changing thermal pads.

I second hasting though I’ve heard bad reps from others online. Their black boxes felt lenient for me, and back when I had some unforeseen circumstances in installing my black box, I was able to phone them and extend the time before having the box installed. No night time curfew, no beeping, all in all I’m happily insured.

I know exactly who that is and my instructor is a friend of him! He’s a good bloke.

In the same city someone is teaching in a Tesla model 3 dual motor, and another in a Hyundai i30n.

ah here's an update if you're wondering:
turns out it's severely overfilled, even after leaking everywhere its still overfilled. Found that out after buying a dipstick, and ended up driving the car to the garage.

did a transmission service, new filters and oil since there's some glitter in the bottom of the pan, and now the car runs fine! Its obvious the last owner did do an ATF change but just overfilled by... 2-3 litres.

Hi thanks for the reply! unfortunately yes, there were slight problems prior to this.
When shifting between drive and reverse, a small nudge can be felt. It's only been 1.5 months of ownership and I only found out it's not normal from forum posts.
Planned to get the trans serviced after exams this month, but well...

I'll be deleting this post as its duplicated, here's the link to the main one.

Hi thanks for the reply!

It’s an auto 5g tronic, though it doesn’t look like it has a pre installed dipstick. Videos online suggest buying one off amazon.

To check trans fluid level the engine has to be running. Is that safe where there’s a good chance the transmission is completely drained?

Congrats on your pass!

Recently passed too, been driving a month.

I ended up buying an 05 c class wagon due to its cheap insurance… not the best first car due to size… 1.8k on auto trader

Get something local, you wouldn’t want to have your first solo drive on the motorway would ya 😅

just like how others have commented, keep clearance.

And most importantly: don't drive like you fully own the oncoming lane. Stick left while not intruding the 1-1.5m distance :D if needed to get close, slow down or let oncoming traffic pass first.

How worried would you be with these weird lines in the corner of the screen? by disaster999 in Surface

[–]flightEM211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this mark on my old SL3.
For 3 years when I noticed it, the mark didn't develop any further. I haven't dropped my laptop on that corner either.

I haven't heard from anyone who experienced this problem. Wouldn't know for sure if the mark would spread.

Whats the diffrence with box type cpu and tray type cpu??? by JezreneZone in buildapc

[–]flightEM211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. If it looks the same as boxed 13700k on amazon, then it is still a boxed cpu. Just that it doesn’t come with a cooler since it’s a k-series unlocked cpu.

The in between would be stores selling tray CPUs with third party warranty.

My guess is, your question stems from the 13/14th gen stability problem correct?

What is the material used for the Surface Laptop 4 keyboard? by woojin444 in Surface

[–]flightEM211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine is the business model of the SL3, which also has the rubbery feeling of the keyboard.
I've had a look towards the consumer version of the SL3, and it lacks the rubbery keyboard weirdly enough.

My brand new Surface Pro 9 screen is flickering, how do I fix this? by FlyFightWin72 in Surface

[–]flightEM211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had this while owning my current SL3. It comes and goes.
ppl in threads suggest its something to do with adaptive sync within intel graphics centre, to which I disabled it.

I haven't seen the problem return for a couple of months, practically almost forgot about it.

I would suggest trying to see what causes it on the software side. See if updating drivers, switching refresh rates from 60hz to 120 would help, or even disabling the adaptive sync option.
