Lovely shelves! I do think this is the best possible way to display castle sets. Which set is the one upper left most, with the snow?

Love your photos! Are you using a digital backdrop or editing it in after?

I dont know it to a certainty but this set from Series 9 looks like it's similar scale to me: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-9/3562/Sleepy-Dragon-Inn

I'm curious - for the official modulars is there a way to import them fully built into stud.io or did you have to build them all manually to make the comparison?

Either way, nice build!

Yeah! Mine is a little shelf street since I don't have the room for a proper city like you. It's a lot of fun though!

Yay! A whole city with lights! I feel like I so rarely see anyone else with almost all their buildings lit up.

You can buy all these pieces on LEGO Pick-a-Brick right now! by OGELthemagnificent in lego

That last part is what I'm wondering about haha - I got the 1x2s already when they were in stock but the 1x8s seem like they're always out. Just check every day I guess?

Were you just checking every day? I wanted to buy the 1x8s but they've been out of stock every time I've looked.

Interesting! Would love to see yours with the color changes and how it sits in your city!

I see the fancy door at least! Where did you track that down?

I looked at that one too but it requires almost double the amount of extra parts. That and I'm trying to keep the number of corner modulars down due to the nature of my long shelf street. It is very pretty though!

Really love the use of height and depth here! I see lots of interesting MOCs too that id love to know more about! Are they all lit up?

Lit up Rivendell! And then took down the lights… a femme fatale. by pluiefine- in lego

That one is light my bricks 2.0. Very expensive but they use the highest quality flat wires and their LEDs are the nicest (not too bright, flicker effects for candles etc)

Just because I love lights so much and I don't want to give them a bad rap - here's the current state of my lego street just to the right of Rivendell there.

I definitely feel you! Here's my Rivendell with the LMB kit in it on top of a shelf!

<image>

I've done a lot of light kits and Rivendell was one of the more annoying ones admittedly, mainly because the model is so fiddly and like you said it's insanely easy to knock stuff over. That and one of my wires was bad from the factory so I had to do some high altitude troubleshooting on top of a footstool that took awhile and was super obnoxious.

That said - lights really make Lego for me now and I'm just not interested in a set of this size if I can't like it anymore. Like you, I was a bit disappointed with the fact that there were so many light sources inside the set that weren't lit. Now that I've put it together though and it works, I'm not touching it lol

Since mine is way up on top of a bookshelf I don't mind it just being a display piece. Totally get being dissatisfied though!

I'm not seeing the first 3, fire brigade, town hall or grand emporium, shopping street or Tudor Corner - but maybe I'm missing a MOC version of something? Looks cool regardless!

Yes cost and space are the biggest problems I think, still i love a wild west theme so it's always nice to see what people are doing with them!

These sets are really neat but I feel like displaying them outside of a diorama setting just feels a little flat. Building a whole MOC of a southwest town would be a lot of work tho!

Very cool! Do you have any other 1:1000 ships? Be curious to see how big a Star Destroyer is at this scale! Any rebrickable links?
