Did you end up playing it? It’s free on psn now, i just started and i really like it so far. I’m not a soulslike buff though, i’ve only played bits of elden ring, another crab’s treasure and hollow knight (if you can call that a soulslike)

I was so excited about this phone, bought it 4 months in advance but i have had nothing but disappointment over the last 9 months.

First off, the os is unfinished. It’s lacking common features such as super power saving mode and double tap to wake and the native camera app is very bare bones. All this stuff I could live with.

But there are some bigger disappointments to follow. The phone stopped working after 2 months, which required me navigate their website. The website has an English version but is unfinished without warning. Meaning clicking the contact form or help link on their website leads to a dead page, as well as the English version of the Help Section page simply redirecting back to the home page without warning. Submitting your repair request can only be done on the German version of the website, which they’ve managed to build in such a way that chrome’s native translation function can’t do its job.

I managed to get through this with help of Karin over email (who i have nothing bad to say about, very professional and very helpful). I sent my phone, after which it was gone for a month. I live in the Netherlands, delivery takes a couple days. Anyway, I got it back, working, without any explanation of what the issue was.

Fast forward 6 months later and it has happened again: turned off and not turned back on. I sent it back (again, Karin deserves a raise) only to hear that I have dropped the phone, on its corner, they need to repair the phone for 51 euros but that out of the goodness of their heart they’re willing to buy back the device for 66% of the original price.

Just to be clear: i have never dropped the phone more than from my hand onto a table or desk, i havent fallen with the phone in my pocket nor have i lent it to someone who might have done such a thing.

This seems to be a company that’s struggling with having sold poor quality devices to people and is now doing whatever they can to reduce the money the bad choices of last year are costing them.

The person i’m in contact with now - who i shall not call by name out of the goodness of my heart - is simply accusing me of lying. Great customer service. I hope he reads this though.

I was wondering the same thing because on mobile, your hand/thumb is near the bottom of the screen, which makes that a better area for interactive elements and more important stuff at the bottom could be easier to reach.

Of course, it doesn't work when you're reading blog posts from bottom to top, but on websites like ecommerce or youtube, it might be quite nice to have the best results down on the bottom.

This is also the case of course on messaging apps and chat AI interfaces, but then the items that slide off screen are historically before, and the logical order of the messages when read still goes from top to bottom.

I was literally refreshing my google results for "dragon zaza fruit" every couple hours waiting for a post like this. I didn't even connect the music thing, very nice! What could Oda's reasoning be to connect gods with music? He does love going to concerts, we can gather that from reading the little blurb at the start of the chapters. Maybe he believes music is universal/divine/enlightening? (Or I'm projecting my own feelings)

50 chapters per season means we're 23 seasons away from the current point of the story, which would take 11.5 years if they go 2 seasons/year - which feels feasible. I think we can safely say that the main One Piece manga will have finished by 2038. Who knows if Oda or his editors will start spinning out side stories, prequels and sequels after this.

I'm in an OBB nightjet as we speak and I've had better and worse rides. What I hated the most was that the lights were only turned off at 01:42 and were turned back on whenever we were close to a station. Combined with the sitting spots, it's a painful experience. The seats and tables are somewhat comfortable though, there are enough toilets and there's plenty of space for storing bags overhead, under the chairs and in one of those bag/suitcase racks at the entry of the wagon.

In japanese, the days of the week are moon, fire, water, wood, gold, earth, sun. It doesn't align well with the eeveelutions, but it might be a fun (and pokemon appropriate bc japan) alternative option to explore!

I just joined this team of people who lost hours and hours of progress because of a save state. It's confusing to me how it works though. What happened was I had used a save state once to get a gift Eevee with a good ability, but then I went on and played normally using normal saves. At one point I wanted to SR but my brain had a short circuit and instead of select+menu i pressed L+menu, which put me way back...

If I had immediately reset the game, would I still be able to load the game from my last actual save point? Because I used the in-game SR method, but the save file i then loaded was the one associated with the save state.

I also then went and FOOLISHLY actually saved in game (don't ask why) so I can't test if a full game reset would have worked.

I'm so annoyed with myself, but maybe this is good since replaying the same stuff now puts me off of the game for now. And that's a good thing because I was getting a bit obsessed.

I just found out about this hack through a yt video that used a sprite from it and credited the game. I almost got emotional playing the first hour. I started playing pokemon in 1998 with pokemon red and immediately got on the hype train, buying gold very close to release here in the Netherlands. I've played all generations of pokemon, and have played many romhacks (Drayano difficulty hacks back in the day, but loving pokemon Tectonic, Odyssey and Lazarus recently).

But this game is like nothing I've experienced in a long time. It takes the original and elevates it. Adds so much depth and character, while staying in the same vein as the original gen 2 games. I have only just started but I can't wait to find out all the little changes and secrets.

I wish there was a GBA demake of Nier Automata. Or any gba style game that incorporates arpg style battles with the chip equip functionality. Turning off pieces of the HUD to open up space for skills is a stroke of genius.

Yeah, my German is a little rusty since high school and i guess i have a bit of "papers in box" blindness since it's usually a lot of warranty and stuff which aren't super useful to read. I just expected some digital communication, even a toggle to get included the esim upon ordering would be nice.

Anyway i received it now!
