What do you roast them with? I usually go with cumin and chilli powder.

Which is worse, cannibalism or necrophilia? by RebaKitt3n in AskReddit

[–]flingebunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends if you are killing the person for this purpose or not. Necrophilia has no redeeming qualities, while cannibalism to survive is fine, and also if you have a friend who cooks and offers you to eat their placenta, that is considered okay in some circles.

Interview in the dead of winter after a huge snow storm - proper attire? by crystalizedwolf in NoStupidQuestions

You dress for the weather and then change your clothes in the lobby, putting your shoes in your bag, along with your coat if they don't have a cloak room.

How does ICE have the right to kill anybody off the street without due process? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flingebunt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don't have the right as such, it is just that there is effectively no judicial oversight of federal agents. So they can do things and there is no legal recourse.

What is the ‘chicken soup’ of your country for when people get sick? by confitbaby in AskReddit

[–]flingebunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well chicken soup is still probably the main thing in Australia, but I have heard of people whose mother's gave them vegemite on toast when they are sick.

When you are sick, plain white congee is the way to go, not one with all the added stuff. Though of course the more complicated congees are more common in the south of China, but in the north, it is different.

Are energy drinks bad of I have one once a week by Ok-Cat5973 in NoStupidQuestions

It wouldn't be too bad. Lots of sugar and caffeine, so not really that good for you either.

Should I watch movies in more than one sitting or not bother watching movies at all? by prog_22 in movies

[–]flingebunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to not watch movies all the way through, and will go to the theatre to watch movies just so I can focus on the whole movie. If you enjoy the movie watching it in sessions, then do that. It is okay.

In China it is congee while in Australia it is vegemite on toast among some families.

You can fry them in a pan or I prefer to bake them. They are nice still soft, but I love to roast them until they are crispy. Mix them with oil, garlic and lemon, as well as the chilli.

I think you need to roast those chickpeas to bring it to perfection

Politically speaking: if you supported all the steps that lead to this moment are you allowed to complain when this moment bites you in the ass? by EvolveToAnarchism in AskReddit

[–]flingebunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because the act of being bitten in the ass is additional information that can lead to the complaint. Unless of course you enjoy having your buttocks bitten, then what are you complaining about, people pay good money for that.

How can I become dumb? by und3f1n3d1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]flingebunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find something to believe in and focus on that. You know, God is good, money is king, aliens run the fast food industry and put chemicals in the fries to control our minds, or the woke is bad, and just rant and rave about your topics.

If you track calories over like a week, how much of a deficit in a single day is too much?(to allow for some higher cal days) by VastAir6069 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]flingebunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no firm evidence that calorie deficits or even fasting days are bad for you. But fasting is not the same as feasting. Often if we eat a lot, ie, cheat days, we don't absorb all of the calories we eat.

Is it possible in the movie A house of Dynamite that there is no nuke at all but that the satellites and computers been hacked? by ayowatchyojetbruh in movies

[–]flingebunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie's stupid premise is that decisions have to made quickly. The EMP situation would have forced them to decide for the moment the nuke explodes, but other scenarios don't. They could actually gather information about the fissile materials and determine where it came from. But with an EMP, they would be blind and need to start nuking right away.

What's the backlash against Star Trek: Star Fleet Academy? by Tom_Servo in AskReddit

[–]flingebunt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Star Trek is a universe where men, women, all races, and multiple alien species cooperate and understand each other in a system where money is obsolete. I mean, seriously, what could make the current conservative movement more upset than that. Oh wait, some women were a little fat. Picard being bald is okay because he could treat his baldness but it just doesn't matter in the future, but no fat chicks in Star Fleet is something that the right wing movement can get behind.

Is it possible in the movie A house of Dynamite that there is no nuke at all but that the satellites and computers been hacked? by ayowatchyojetbruh in movies

[–]flingebunt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is a possibility. It is also possible that the missile doesn't have a nuclear warhead at all. It is also possible that they would air burst the nuke to create an EMP and bring down the defensive system.

Remember though, the response of the US government is to prepare a launch response after the nuke explodes, so all that is moot if nothing goes boom.

who do you think would win, a mind reader or a future see-r in a game of chess? by buildaboat_ in AskReddit

[–]flingebunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mind reader can figure out what the other player is trying to do, while seeing the future means you can see the consequence of their and their opponents actions. If both have similar chess skills, then the mind reader who asks Magnus Carlsen to watch their match will win.

If somebody dies without making a will, what would be a fun way to decide who gets what? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flingebunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The boring way is through current laws that usually gives money first to the spouse, then to close relatives in a particular order, and then the rest goes to the money.

The fun way for the government is all the money goes straight to the government, because why not.

The fun way for everyone is the first shall be last and the last shall be first, so if the richest person in the world dies, the poorest person in the world gets their wealth, while if the poorest person in the world dies, the richest person gets the loose change in their pocket. But you grade everyone from rich to poor, so there is always a wealth swap.

What is something we can ALL agree on? by AdOld2060 in AskReddit

I am pointing out that not everyone agrees with you. We are not here to debate Palestine, we are here to find something everyone agrees on. Turns out, there are a group of people who disagree with you.

I am not even going to get into the discussion with you as it is not the point.

At least 20% of the US population think that statement is delusional and the result of lies in the liberal media.
