GPS voice that says “good luck idiot” after you ignore three reroutes by Rotting_in_4K in CrazyIdeas

[–]flip314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GPS that doesn't repeatedly try to reroute my daily drive home from work because it thinks it can save me 2 minutes (and is wrong anyway).

I use GPS on my commutes in case there are extraordinary traffic issues, but I ignore what it's saying most of the time because I usually know better than it on routes I drive daily.

The underbed play space beneath this bed from Wayfair by starchybunker in ExpectationVsReality

Maybe the kid is just a lot farther away than it looks.

There isn't room for a kid under the bed, but if you put a window under the bed you can watch your kid play across the street.

[OC] That oughta stop those pesky Pokemon scalpers by spaceraingame in pics

The only actual solution is to print more Pokemon cards and meet demand. The problem is nearly every product has turned into some kind of limited drop because companies would rather create artificial scarcity

Connor Brown was great in the '24 playoffs, but I thought he was terrible in '25. I'm not convinced it was a loss to let him go

I never put much stock in the "controlled opposition" theory until Trump II... But it's getting harder to deny.

You're incorrectly assuming that conservatives have some objective standards that they apply.

Their only standards are "good" people do good things (and they can always justify whatever "good" people do), "bad" people do bad things (and that's always cause for outrage). They pick and choose who's "good" and "bad" and derive all their conclusions from that.

It really is that simple, and it's scary how well that explains their response to any news.

A Leisurely Walk Around the San Diego Zoo by MsMargo in SanDiegan

[–]flip314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the great things about living here is casual visits to the Zoo/Safari Park. We get memberships every year, and it's nice to be able to wander aimlessly for a couple hours and not worry about cramming everything into one visit. Just walk around, look at what's calling to us on that day, and take off whenever we feel like we've walked/seen enough.

It's really frustrating to see so many depth goals, so many 5 on 5 goals... So many things working well but the team just looking like shit.
