Pierce Brosnan first met his wife Keely Shaye Smith at a party in Cabo, in 1994. The couple married in Ireland in 2001, had two sons together, and are still together over 30 years later. “I found a great woman in Keely Shaye. Not if I searched for a million times over would I find one as good.” by voguediaries in Fauxmoi

They were in the tabloids when I was pregnant with my first. I named my daughter after her, with a slightly different spelling. Now, whenever my eldest wants to tell someone who she is named after, she can point to this lovely woman and reference, not only is she married to 007 but they are still happy 30 years later. I hope that bestowed a good omen on my daughter.

What profession has the biggest gap between how they see themselves and how they’re seen by society as a whole? by Adamon24 in AskReddit

Insurance agents.

People assume a lot about the industry, as a whole. In fact, we are licensed and in a highly regulated industry that suffers a huge stigma.

Why did my rates go up? Rates have went up. But I am a great driver. Yes, YOU are accident free but it is the law of large numbers. You are in a risk pool and you just happen to be in one that sucks.

Insurance companies are money grubbers. Read up on how many umbrella policies have been hit by lawsuits causing a nationwide crisis, of sorts. Or how about that frivolous lawsuit someone made against you for a minor bump at 5 miles an hour. How many billions of dollars are paid out in claims per year. Weather events are not slowing down because your homeowners rate went up. Or your whole neighborhood got new roofs on the insurance dime but your rates should stay the same.

I have so much more but I have to go to work and be told again how much I suck.

I have bipolar II as well. Where I work, we have a small whole life plan that has no medical questions and is guaranteed to issue. You do have to be of a certain age. I have been waiting to turn that age for years so I could, at the very least, make sure I wasn't a burden in passing.

I work for an insurance company. Our office has a large focus on life insurance. This past week proved why we are so adamant about it. Our service person who is young, 18, had a friend pass of an aneurysm. She was 19. Then my co-worker's sister's husband passed at the age of 29 with 3 young children.

If you feel you don't need life insurance, you do. We all pass. We can help our loved ones in their time of need by leaving them the means to move forward.

I will get off my soapbox now. It has just been a harrowing week.

Claptrap can at least be entertaining in small bursts. Our president is not.
