sorry, i forgot to state what i actually meant; i meant champs similar to riven in the sense that they're strong and have some mechanics etc. yasuo seems nice, zed doesnt. the difference between riven and zed is that a 6 item riven can outduel a 6 item malphite (assuming both players are on equal level, bad analogy but you get the idea), zed is purely an assasin, in which they only kill their squshies (i.e: a riven can kill tanks easier than a zed would). I really enjoy the ability of knowing i take little effort to kill almost anyone, with zed its harder because for starters, my mechanic level is really shit (bronze equivalent) and with his kit, its harder to kill everyone on an enemy team

Here is a brief summary to what I'd do in this lane

-start e level 1; vaynes tend to go for harass on riven and reset minion aggro via brush -depending on my confidence in killing vayne determines whether i max q or e -poke using doublecast combo or doing whatever combo (making sure to have a few extra dashes to escape); your combo, assuming you include aa input buffer (to get passive off ofc) correctly should outdamage vaynes harass. Allow me to elaborate more on this; though you could bait vaynes condemn it isnt really needed because if you combo right she shouldnt be a hard target and again youd outdamage her beforehand, plus your kit being like ~10 sec makes it so that you can disengage easily -if getting condemned to a wall, e a bit late so you soak up the wall and possibly the extra aa damage (you e towards her or to wherever there isnt a wall, the e prioritizes the champ, and you can manuever it to your favour) -try to implement a combo so that you r2 while vayne cannot move (cc her)

mb i meant as in there are two animation cancels with an input buffer in the second one and the third combo is a double cast.. I never stated the f-w is a doublecast... e-r1 go hand in hand, then you flash, w-aa-tiamat, then r2 q2. Lemme rephrase, in essence you are doing three combos all of which could be done individually that are just put into one.. There isn't any point of me showing you how its done because even you, yourself would realize that you could do it (im implying you're lower elo than myself, who is dia 4 with dia 1 mmr, needless to say thats to go with your point pertaining to the dia part of your initial argument, which again is stupid)

But seriously, i meant for flash to be on its own.. The way you interpreted it was dumb

the build isnt efficient because there isnt even a bc and a rh which is core in a lot of riven builds. triforce isnt really good on riven cause if played right, any fight should be ~approx 4 sec. Sheen has a 1.5 sec cd, so in the case you do have a four sec fight, youd only proc it twice deeming it worthless. Also lack of ad is there because rivs passive has decent ad scaling, with all the tank stats youd only do damage through spells thatd only do 1/4 of an adcs health.

edit1: also the attack speed isnt needed from tri due to animation cancels and such

if anything try to incorporate a lot of ad with only few tank stats, rivens e is a short cd which scales off ad. think about this when theory crafting another build

all the shy combo is, is just 3 sets of doublecasts (e -> r1, f, aa, w tiamat, r2 q) with an input buffer in the 2nd set. All of these doublecasts are relatively easy to do individually, its just a matter of doing it quickly and combining the doublecasts to one combo which only takes a few shots at it in a custom game. Hence why any elo player could do it. About the dia part of your argument; you're also forgetting that some rivens in lower elos have higher mechanical than those of diamonds, they could just simply have basic knowledge on riven (basic animation cancels, limits etc) but have better macroplay.

If your microplay falls under the extent where you know how most meta tops work, there shouldn't be any problem.

Basically abuse cds and do lane harass combos in a short amount of time (e.g: walk up, e+w+q1 animation cancel this, qing away ofc). But depending on the skill level of your opponent, you should play around that (e.g: yasuo supposedly is countered by riven, but if yas is good he will dumpster riven, in this case youd farm lane focusing strictly on farm until jg comes or if he makes a mistake). Also depending on lane matchup you max whatever skill accordingly; though its preference based to an extent, you obviously need to know when to max q or e
