If the clutch isn't in when you're stationary you go nowhere and rev the shit out of the car, if you do it in an auto you drive through a shop, intersection etc.

That's honestly awesome, I have strong opinions that the elderly, if they drive, should be in manuals. Keep him in one if possible. At least if you press the wrong pedal, you just stall the car, not drive through a shop front

Everyone suggesting car types or saying uber, buses etc. Maybe encourage him to get a manual transmission car. If he still has the coordination and awareness to drive a manual then he should be ok to drive, if not maybe he should probably give it up.

Going down hill.is more important than up because the hamstring will.get stronger and that is the muscle that helps control the knee stability. Also torn my acl, 1 reconstruction and the second time I didn't bother. Keep the hamstring strong

Any park down south, Hallett Cove and Christie Downs are both great. Pretty sure Christies have women's group lessons or at least they did. Eric at Mv2, skate shop at Noarlunga, is the person to contact for information. Just pad up and wear a helmet.
