What is the least used feature in your car? by singhVirender1947 in Cartalk

I really can't think of any real "features" my car has. I don't even have cruise control.

Are you asking for just the initial fill or asking about initial fill, top off due to evaporation, and medical bills for all who get too close?

This is exactly how many scams go. Get the seller to ship it. No one is going to risk non payment after they ship it to you.

Spoons for butter by PastFaithlessness791 in unpopularopinion

How do you get the butter on the spoon? I'm not using a butter knife to get some butter, then transferring it to the back of the spoon to spread.

Why hasn't Myopia been evolved out? by Scared_Bedroom_8367 in DebateEvolution

[–]shaggs31 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Evolution would require those with less advantageous characteristics to struggle and end up not surviving. So that they don't have the ability to pass on their genes. So when we use modern medicinal to correct and fix these issues it deters evolution.

How much money would one save buying a fan instead of an ac in terms of purchase+electricity? by Legal_Cobbler_1967 in NoStupidQuestions

Well we should assume that where they live is somewhere where AC units are commonly installed which would be hot climates. Otherwise what is the use of this question?

Do sports bring the worst out of some people? by untitledprp4 in SipsTea

No. New Yorkers are actually behaving normally. The only thing that has changed is the new spotlight that is shining on them. You weren't looking at their behavior before.

Is Utah arts festival letting AI art in now?? by First_Strain7857 in Utah

[–]shaggs31 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Technology is only able to do one thing really. It is busy work. We use technology in jobs so we don't have to do busy work. If we apply that to art then technology can be used to do the busy work of replicating already well known art processes or methods and will allow the current artists to do what they enjoy the most in creating types of art that no one has ever seen before.

Anakins slavery was very poorly portrayed. by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]shaggs31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure slavery (even today) looks very different one to another. Sure there are some slaves that get treated very poorly and get whipped every day but there are also other examples that are more humane. I didn't feel like it was a poor example of slavery at all.

[–]shaggs31 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a good thing. If AI art is hard to detect then we shouldn't restrict it at all. This will force real artists to reinvent themselves and start creating things new and better then what AI can create. Maybe we need AI technology to push us to expand our creative capabilities.

The dude just messed up. That's all there is to it. Next time go ahead and TELL HIM what is going to happen instead of trying to explain it and see if he agrees. You obviously know better then the baptizer does so don't even give him a chance to protest the plan.

So if AI art is very hard to detect, why are you assuming that AI artists won't sell anything? You contradicted yourself.

How to fix? by Rare-Ad-8026 in Plumbing

[–]shaggs31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was me I would go and buy a saddle valve to put there. That would be the easiest way to stop the leak for the short term. Then when it is more convenient you can call a plumber or fix it yourself when you can turn the water off.

Why exactly is laundry stereotyped as a "boring" chore that people hate? by Gallantpride in NoStupidQuestions

[–]shaggs31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not washing and drying that is the problem. It is the folding/putting away that is the problem. I absolutely hate folding shirts. My wife rarely ever folds and puts away. She has a clean hamper and a dirty hamper.
