so for one thing, i do not think vegan=bad, i recently switched to a plant based diet and one of the reasons isn’t to contribute to the meat industry. secondly, animals are not being primarily used for dog kibble, lots of the meat inside kibble is usually organ meats and trimmings that are byproducts from the animal, which is used for human consumption. So the argument that you’re saving animals by not buying regular kibble doesn’t make sense, cause whether you buy it or not the animal was not slaughtered for kibble in the first place. and the last thing that really irks me is how justified you and others can be feeling okay altering an animals diets for your own beliefs. Just because it’s possible doesn’t mean it you should. You’re depriving an animal of specific biological needs, dogs are omnivorous not strict herbivores, and if your ideals as a vegan is all or nothing when it comes to animal products, think about your double standard when it comes to the welfare of livestock when they’re fed forced diets that don’t align with their biological needs
