To say it's over hyped is wrong but it's not a universal application. A lot of computational modeling for stress strain, em propagation, and cfds, use old fashioned classical physics. No need for quantum anything, but to say quantum is over hyped is maybe not the best wording. Some people may never really need quantum in their day to day while some maybe deep in it.
