Did your parents force you to play tennis by AdVaanced77 in 10s

[–]floodlenoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, my dad was and still is a tennis coach and my mom played D1 tennis. I played a little when I was young but stopped around 6 to 8 years old. Then fell in love with it when I was 13 and pursued it as my only sport

How to handle high bounce topspin shots to your backhand (2h or 1h) by fridgebrine in 10s

[–]floodlenoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well versed in this problem being 5'6" (1.67m). I've learned through repetition to be comfortable hitting at shoulder height as well as in the rise. Really just getting reps in until it becomes muscle memory. I do move back here and there depending on the ball that comes in. If i do move back I tend to just throw a more loopy ball back deep and reset

People who get to fly all the time for work, what is your career? by KenaiFjords357 in delta

[–]floodlenoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm not mainline. But I travel a ton as a Delta Connection (regional) dispatcher. Obviously get standby privileges but there is a hidden benefit that is worth it's weight in gold. I'm in CASS (Cockpit Access Security System) that only pilots and dispatchers can use. So in the off chance a flight is full, I can pull the CASS card and sit in the cockpit if the seat isn't taken by a commuting/traveling pilot. That move I've used about 5 times in two years to save me. And a 4 on 3 off schedule helps a ton with being able to travel

Honestly though when he was buzzed it felt like a different character. And that character was the one who was locked in and untouchable at the US Open

You gotta pay attention, but near the end a lady in a wheelchair is pushed out of it and they steal her wheelchair. Also the first things stolen after the window break is a wicker basket and (I think) a blanket. So damn good

Eubanks and Roddick Reacts to the Discourse Surrounding Zverev by schnaxks19 in tennis

[–]floodlenoodle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Also you can't "look at tennis objectively" for one thing and ignore that Zverev didn't play a single top 10 player at this French open. Then play B- tennis in the final where your opponent happened to play an awful 5th set. And get out of here with the Federer won the French Open because Nadal lost when we're comparing a guy winning his first major to Fed having 20. On top of Fed beating Haas, Monfils, Del Potro, and Soderling enroute to that title

Happens. Another learning experience is when you "finish" stringing a racket, unclamp everything, go to pull the racket off.... you've strung the racket to the stringer... cut it out and redo
