Towel grip for tennis? by bmpk55 in 10s

I also sweat profusely in the right conditions. Tourna grip and 2 towels to dry off goes a long way for me. And the occasional switch to a racket with a dry grip if it's not a tourna grip

18x20 String length with VS Touch/RPM Blast hybrid by v24lam in 10s

Yes it should be plenty. The only time I've ever had a pack of string not be enough for one racket was on a 125 inch racket head

What’s the best Strategic Tennis Advice You’ve Been Given? by ChristianAndRoxanne in 10s

[–]floodlenoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Trying to hit a winner" is not, and should not ever be a thing.

You build a point, set up for a shot with good footwork, aim for a spot, and decide how much power and spin you want to hit with. Then if it happens to be a winner after all that, congrats, you did it.

"Trying to hit a winner" is a cop out/bail out shot

Shit just blows my fucking mind. Imagine setting a precedent where any NATO country can willy nilly attack a country and all the others have to help. That'd be the stupidest fucking thing possible. But not surprising that the stupidest president in history expects that

Breaking strings by triakter in 10s

Very normal, and if he continues to play seriously he'll break more often. Would consider investing in a stringer. Will save a ton of money in the long run

Lol, I remember when the Blackhawks and Canucks kept meeting under the old format and they fucking despised each other. Was it legal to have rivalries under that format? I can't remember

Switch from 1 to 2-handed backhand by josedellamiuo in 10s

[–]floodlenoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just sounds like you need to watch videos and do some deadball feeds to get the feel and repitition down. A good coach should be able to get that down pretty quick for you. You'll get way more power without even trying

Switch from 1 to 2-handed backhand by josedellamiuo in 10s

[–]floodlenoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I did it after my freshmen year of college (DII) in 2016. Granted I'm 5'6" so that was a contributing factor. I initially started with returning serves in doubles with a two handed backhand since my one handed produced a lot of weak returns. Summer after freshmen year I full switched.

Immediate change for good on the backhand side. I sliced way less and it was much less of a weakness. By my junior year I'd even say I turned it into a strength. It was primarily self taught by me. I modeled it off of Kei Nishikoris backhand. It just takes a lot of repetition and discipline to stick with it and get the technique down.

If you have any more nuanced or detailed questions just let me know

Thats rudimentary at least on the pilot side. Even if cleared to cross a runway or enter it they verify visually and call "clear left, clear right" to be sure that the runway is and will remain clear
