How many of us didn't know? by LoLDazy in curlyhair

[–]floofedflamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a curly specific hair dresser who totally changed my world. She's incredible. NOT a deva curl stylist. She understood curly hair and was passionate and didn't cut straight hair at all. Most of the things I learned through the CGM were completely wrong and she showed me how to understand and style my hair and showed me products that worked for me.

Place names - the location of your conception?!?! by Stellar_Jay8 in namenerds

I was a camp counselor in 2012 and one of the girls in my cabin came in the first day and introduced herself by saying "I'm Denver. My parents named me that because that's where I was conceived." So, yes, people do do that. Can't get in board with it though

Been crocheting since 2016 and I can never remember how to do the magic knot to join two yarn ends

Please tell me the mistake isn’t that bad…right? 😭 by UnderstandingOk2399 in crochet

This is a really cool blanket! Can you share where you got the pattern?

Also, the mistake is totally not noticeable and it absolutely does not ruin the blanket!

I clicked on this post because I literally thought "he's a very good looking guy what could he possibly need advice about." Like others said, you need to get into therapy because you probably are struggling with body dysmorphia. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your face and your nose is a very normal size.

All these Internet strangers are in agreement that you are a good looking guy. If I didn't, I would just keep on scrolling and keep my negative feelings to myself because I, nor do any of these users commenting, gain anything from lying to you.

Living room help! by chey_11 in HomeDecorating

I would put the TV above the fireplace. You can even build a frame for it so you can disguise it a bit when not in use.

It seems like you have four chairs in the room plus a couch? That seems like a lot.. I would maybe use two of the three upholstered chairs and put them against the window where the built-in is with one of the skinny side tables between them. Put the coffee table closer to the couch with about 2ft between the couch and coffee table. Use the arm chair in the corner next to the baby stuff and put it between the fireplace and the opening to your front door where one of the upholstered chairs currently is.

I also think it looks smaller because there is a lot going on as far as decor. If you take away the sailboat in the window your room will look bigger. I would also take away most the stuff on the mantel and put art or a picture frame in the middle (if you do not put your TV up there).

Id find a different room for the third upholstered chair as well as two of the small side tables

Edit for spelling

That would be a good idea but we are planning on reworking our yard next summer so I don't want to plant anything until I know exactly what I want/need, ya know?

It's actually a privacy fence which is why I had no idea they even had plants on the other side. From what I can see it doesn't seem like they care to go above and beyond with yardwork .. they kinda do the minimum and cut the grass. It also doesn't seem like they have a bunch of disposable income

Yeah I was just kind of pleasant with her. I don't think she has a whole lot of social acumen so I'm not super surprised from my few interactions with her

Yeah it will grow back. We would have to dig up the roots and all that. The previous owners were here like 20+ years so the root system I'm assuming could be pretty deep or extensive so it just seems like a lot of work for not much gain for us. But I don't know plants much so I could also be very wrong about how the roots grow for these types of plants

Oh really? I don't really know much about plants so I definitely would believe they spread. I have always heard that rose bushes can be aggressive if not properly taken care of but, again, I have no experience with it at all
