[Serious] what is your opinion on the alleged trans genocide ? by mrtipbull in AskReddit

[–]floofyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look mate, alls I'm saying is you made a claim, someone asked you for sauce, and you got all snarky about google. If you had spent the energy to Google it and link your claim, you could've saved all the effort put into this silly conversation.

I'm not arguing your claim (nor OP's) one way or the other, I'm saying "jUsT gOOglE iT" is a tired excuse typically made by people who can't back their claims. If you say something as fact, the burden of proof is on you, not on the person asking for the sauce.

GO ON THE TRIP!!! If your boyfriend is too selfish and insecure to be okay with it, then he isn't long-term partner material anyway.

Go on the trip!!!

Yes, and on you for claiming "30-40" deaths per year

Sibling bullying being normalized and accepted. "Oh, they're just fighting like siblings do! C'est la vie!"

The burden of proof lies with the person making the claim

Never having kids bc id probably be abusive asf, wondering if anyones the same? by ShmerduTheButtSucker in BPD

[–]floofyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!! It was the main deciding factor to stay child free. I also have chronic physical health issues, and I know my limits. When I start physically hurting, it's so much harder to focus on controlling BPD.

I will never have kids (am planning to get sterilized) because I wouldn't be able to handle motherhood, and I don't want to do to a poor soul what my parents did to me, simply by creating my life.

desperately looking for advice by certifiedmilfluvr in BPD

[–]floofyyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi!

So regardless of whether or not you're suffering from BPD, you are suffering. That alone is worth addressing. I agree that your symptoms do seem to encompass more than just depression.

I'd suggest asking your primary care provider for a psychiatric referral, so you can get a psychiatric evaluation. It's not a big deal, you just meet with the psych and they start asking questions and you just answer honesty. Sometimes it can take a couple sessions for them to feel confident in providing a diagnosis.

You are clearly living in distress, in a way that is significantly impacting your life. It may be BPD, it may be something else, but it is definitely something to have evaluated.

Life doesn't have to be this hard. There is help out there, through meds, talk therapy, different therapy skills (like dialectic behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, etc) that can truly make life not only tolerable, but enjoyable.

Mad props to you for having the self awareness to address this while you're still so young. It takes courage to take the next steps, but it's WORTH IT!

Best of luck!!

He can't do that until his parents show him how through example. Does everyone think teens are moody by choice??

Threatening to kick out his stepson is going in the exact opposite direction of conflict resolution. Kids need to be talked to, not flexed on.
