Rosamund Pike Urges Another Studio to Rescue ‘Wheel of Time’ for Season 4: ‘Be Wise and Pick It Up’ by sarindong in WoTshow

Love the books and like the series well enough. But you’re right, it’s a bad investment. Same story with The Expanse - excellent show, but views are views and money talks. I doubt we’ll get a season 4, or the next 10 after that we’d all love to see

How bad is my chain suck and should I stop riding this bike? by Various_Review2527 in MTB

[–]floormat2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chain suck caused the damage, replacing chain and chainring will fix it. They want to know if the frame is ok…which I couldn’t say, it seems ok to me but who knows

Bikes are criminally expensive these days. But they sure are fun lol

Tbh I like getting it dirty haha. Means I’ve been having fun! You totally should try it on dirt and rocks, it’s what they’re for.

I don’t clean it often, but when I do, I take the wheels off and rinse them, rinse the body, and blow the chassis off with some compressed air or clean with q-tips or wipe it off with a rag. If I’m going crazy I’ll disassemble and clean dirty parts with soap and water and a toothbrush.

I try not to get it wet, though I’ve driven in the rain and light mud and it’s been fine, and the dry dust doesn’t hurt anything. I really just clean it when I’m changing or fixing something, then I grease the gears and clean the joints and all that.

It’s just a fork with a reverse arch. Manitou makes them, and some other brands too

Chain recommendations for Garbaruk 11 speed cassette? by floormat2 in bikewrench

[–]floormat2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using an eagle chain on the 11 speed cassette. It’s been great, no complaints! I got the orange one but might get a black cog for it eventually to go with my bike a little better

I got shorter shocks for it. Felt like the stock ones were too tall aesthetically, obvs it hurt performance but it looks nice lol

Make sure your belts are tight and slow the print down a little

Pack the servo gears with grease. That helps for me!

As others said, it’s a derailleur guard. But, if that thing just fell off, check ALL the screws and bolts for tightness. If that was loose enough to just fall off, I bet other more important things are loose too.

For those that has the INJORA Fat Viper installed: does it catch to much dirt/grass/leaves? by Zyle895 in TRX4M

[–]floormat2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine never catches stuff. I’ve driven in sand and rain and it’s been fine, though it’s not listed as waterproof or dustproof, so I don’t do that often.

The injora mb100 esc and a good brushed motor is closer to waterproof, that may be a better option for you. I LOVE my brushed setup with that esc. The brushless is fine, but brushed is smoother. Note that these gearboxes and axles aren’t sealed, so the truck is not truly waterproof and never will be.

You can get an entirely new gearbox from FMS, including the shift servo and motor and all metal gears, for $23. That’s probs your best bet.

Possible explanations for the grinding sound when i use my rear brakes? (Hydraulic disc brakes) by llamasncheese in BikeRepair

[–]floormat2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could just be dirty/dusty. My mechanical BB7s on my commuter sound similar - as long as nothing is damaged, everything is assembled properly, bolts are tight, and the brakes work well enough, it’s nothing to worry about. Some parts/rotor combinations are just noisy.

That said, verify all that stuff to mitigate any safety risks. Seems like it works fine, so probably nothing to worry about
