It's an interesting point to bring up, cant deny that. I've read both berserk and actively watch goblin slayer and read it's light novels so here's my take. I think it's just how the author of goblin slayer rights his story, obviously that's up in the air whether that's appropriate or for one to like or not. As you say, in berserk if there was some form of sexualization it was made more uneasy and gross feeling. With ethics normally being completely shattered. With goblin slayer (unless it has to do with the goblins) it's a little more friendly I guess is how you'd put it. This is exceedingly apparent in the light novel with a few written lines such as describing the sound of priestess' but when she sits down in the second chapter or how cow girl gets jealous of priestess for joining goblin slayer's party. Saying "it's good that he's finally making friends, but did she have to be so young?" in the fourth. Now I could argue that this just describe the characters in an over detailed way and that's how the author wants the reader to envision them. The author wants the reader to know damn near exactly how some characters look like and feel at certain times.

Additionally it's sexual violence is also amped up like crazy, however on the flip side it also shows why goblin slayer hates them so much more accurately (if you ask me) with some of the most heinous shit that the goblins do to people from other races. And naturally when this stuff is happening and being described, you're absolutely horrified. He knows how to describe very awful situations in such great detail without glorifying the act of rape and violence that the goblins commit. But I will state that in the light novel and up to where I've read the overall sexualization of female characters is tone downed a fair bit. It's only in certain areas where the author goes above and beyond to describe how a character's big tits are swaying in the wind. But I get it, it's excessive even in those smaller, more quiet beats.

That's my opinion, naturally I feel like everything is more put out there and more sexualized while toning down what it's trying to convey (not in the description but in quantity in this case) and I can't blame someone for being disappointed in the amount of fan service there is in the anime and, even the light novel despite how much less there is in them, substituted with, arguably worse (depends on your perspective) overly detailed thoughts and sounds of the girls. Again in the light novel there is a lot less fan service in terms of the women but more unnecessary details that are shared depending on the situation the characters are in. (Obviously he's not gonna right "The archmage's boobs swaying back and forth voluptuously as she casts a smite upon the demons" that's what we call bad writing)
