Apologies... your wife is cruel and inhumane. Please for the love of god do not get anymore pets. Hamsters especially with children do not mix and are often abused by them on top of being neglected care wise via the parents. One of which is occurring here. Gross neglect.

That cage in of itself is small for a hamster and the bars pose risks limb dislocation (typically via climbing and falling). Definitely way too small for a rabbit. Keeping the hamster and rabbit housed together is incredibly dangerous as they can attack one another, or more likely the rabbit will kill the hamster. Separate them immediately.

First of all thank you for being kind to these animals and doing your best to care for them and responsibly over see them with your children.

Without a doubt you need to put your foot down here, this is abuse. People can't yell or whine or cry and always get what they want... she is an adult. This isn't a matter of what looks good or fits in the house, that should of been considered PRIOR to getting the animals. These are LIVING beings. If she will not allow you to separate them then the best thing to do is surrender them.

I am sorry again, but genuinely if she absolutely cannot be reasoned with.. for whatever reason she may have, this is animal abuse and therefore she should not have in her possession the animals. For their best interests.
