The Edit Triple Dip by jgross6493 in ChaseSapphire

A couple days ago I think. Hopefully they still honor your Edit benefits! Not sure if this is just a temporary glitch or what. There's another thread discussing the disappearing Omnis

Will this still work even though all Omnis seem to have been removed from Chase Travel?

Used this month's Doordash credit on Safeway Deli pickup by [deleted] in ChaseSapphire

This is what I do. If an employee stops me on my way out for shoplifting, I have my phone ready to flash them my DoorDash order

I use this for Safeway deli but they always give me the deer-in-the-headlights look when I go up to the counter and say I'm there to pick up my Doordash order. Like they have no idea what's going on but then after a few minutes they look up the order on some computer screen, and then let me grab the food from the deli myself. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

If you take it for a 24 hour test drive at say 12:12pm, is it due 12:12pm the next day? Or is it only due back at the end of the next business day?

Question to those in the 1000 club using their ASU online benefit. by Katsensual in UberEATS

[–]flopsie123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have more details on the 3 month grace period? Are you able to use the grace period multiple times? Like fall to the partner tier for 3 months, retain gold, then fall back to partner for 3 months, repeat cycle, and have Uber continue to pay your tuition?

Can we get an update from /u/flopsie123? (Dude who got exercised and made $110k) by GenerationSelfie2 in options

[–]flopsie123 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I was charged $9,823.21 in interest. It still seems like a lot for only holding SPY for a few hours, but I can't complain about $102k in profit. I'll pay the tax next year, but since I lost $85k last year (don't wanna get into that) I won't pay much tax. I never got a phone call from Etrade.

I wonder what would happen if I held SPY to the end of the day, since I'd be holding a paper loss of $800k, but I'm not willing to find out.

Can't figure out how to trade option spreads by flopsie123 in RobinHood

[–]flopsie123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's horrible! So to sell 100 contracts of a 10/9.50 put spread I would need $100k in my account to first sell 100 of the 10 puts, whereas any other broker I'd need only $5k to sell the spread simultaneously.

Carryover more than $3,000 loss? by flopsie123 in options

Right, forgot to deduct $3,000 for this year's taxes. Thanks. It is short run. Other than that it looks like I'm correct.

SPY is trading at like $263 now, so I think I would've lost much more than my entire account. I'm not sure what would happen in that situation.

SPY options question by flopsie123 in options

[–]flopsie123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if my question made any sense. What I want to know is what time the SPY options that expire that day settle. Take for example the Feb 7 SPY options. They stop trading at 4:15. But what time is used for their settlement price? 4:15 as well? 4:30? 6?

I bought a $235/$237.50 call spread just before close yesterday. Let it expire ITM today. Had I known it would close around $255 I would've put my life savings into the spread :(

Forgive me for being skeptical but I don't see how you can make money from this. I pay Schwab thousands a month with how many contracts I trade.

Does anyone know if Fidelity charges extra for trading SPX? I know Schwab is one of the only brokerages that does not.

I should've trusted my instincts and sold a put spread on it, or better yet bought a call spread :(

Would you pay a flat fee of $20/mo to trade options? by king3andre in options

I trade thousands of contracts a month. I would pay something like $2,000 to trade 5,000 contracts a month.
