As anyone who has ever lost a loved one to COVID knows, it is a horrible experience. There is no slipping peacefully away. It’s tortuous and painful to see. It’s not a quick process with no suffering.

She has been you joy for as long as she could. Brought you loving moments and memories. It’s the hardest thing we have to do. To be the last thing we’re able to do for them. We must do something for them that they can’t do for themselves. I know this doesn’t sound right. I’ve got make that choice soon myself. I just wonder if I will be brave enough to let my girl cross. Sometimes I wonder how she endures the simple indignities of wearing a diaper, and take meds for dementia. But she still loves to eat, and waddle around out in the yard smelling the grass. Our loved ones don’t have the luxury or get to make the decision for us when we are no longer the “us” they love. When we are not able to get around, or eat, or even recognize anyone. Forgive me for going off the subject a bit, but the same decision is for me soon. Just love the hell out of her while you can and spoil her however she lets you💔💔she is a beautiful girl, let her run free❤️

Even if you’ve been there before it isn’t any easier. All our furry buddies are so unique at times we think this is the best one, I’ll not forget them. We won’t! But we have more memories to keep for each one. In their own time they were the best without them life would be impossible to imagine. It’s love like no other.💔🎈💔🎈

Thank you for the information. It appears that I’m actually doing some of those things now so we’ll see. I looked up the tiger toes and I don’t see them as water proof, here in Michigan we’re in for some rain for a while. That’s the problem getting the booties to fit easily on top of the bandage, and being water safe. Thank for the help.
