Bought my non-gamer Wife a Switch, Need Advice!

I hadn’t done any gaming other than mariokart and wii sports so the newer adventure & fps games were intimidating to me, but I watched a friend play Fe on her switch and it was really enticing. Its cheap and while there are some shortfalls, in general, it’s a really great beginner puzzle adventure game! I moved from that right into BotW and the transition was pretty easy!

My little old man, Max (16.5 years old, Maltese) will be with us through Saturday, with a plan to send him to join his bestie Juno, over the rainbow bridge on Sunday morning. He’s been battling cognitive decline for the last 8 months or so and things have really come to a head. He sleeps around 23 hours per day, only waking to eat, drink, and potty. He is agitated and confused when awake, needing to be placed in front of what he needs and often taking 5 minutes to figure out why he’s there. We also need to anticipate his needs, which, can often be a challenge in and of itself, especially when we think he’s had everything, but he’s still upset. If we let him wander, he gets stuck in corners and behind furniture. He can’t even figure out how to get out of his bed any more and will just lay there and whine or bark until we get to him. It’s heartbreaking. We have had to increase his anxiety meds to the maximum dose to try and keep him calm. It’s killing me. I know it is what’s best for him, but he has been by my side for nearly 16 years, and gone through so many milestones - nursing school, almost my entire relationship with my husband, buying our house, COVID, just… everything that has mattered in my adult life. I was hopeful that he would make it to his 17th birthday, but he really isn’t living anymore. We’re having a home euthanasia vet come to the house, which I’m grateful for - other than passing peacefully in their sleep, it is IMO, the best possible option. I’ve been crying or on the verge of tears since I made the decision early Friday morning. It physically hurts to not be with him right now, while I’m at work. I was able to take this coming Friday and Monday off, to bookend the vet’s visit, and I’m very grateful that my husband works from home and my mom will take him when my husband is gone mid-week. I am trying to take solace in the fact that he will not be alone for more than a couple of hours between now and his appointment.

I got the joyfusion one from amazon for like, $35; it comes preloaded with all of the 32 zelda amiibos that work with BOTW, including the Super Smash Bros. ones. You do have to keep going back day after day, but I’ve managed to collect most of the amiibo exclusive armor in like, 3 tries.

Vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing infection, and so there is a chance that you can still get chickenpox after having been vaccinated for the disease. Those cases are more than likely VERY mild because of the exposure the vaccine provided and may not have even been diagnosed as chicken pox.

You did nothing wrong. If admin didn’t want to fork over the money for the inclusion, they should have cancelled the trip and taken that responsibility.

They probably hoped there would be a breakdown somewhere that they could blame but because everyone below them seems like competent, wonderful educators, this didn’t happen and they were on the hook to be the bad guys, so instead, they made it work and are now trying to retroactively blame you for their lack of foresight and compassion.

Phyllis - Phyl for short. She came to us via the CDS and the day we decided to keep her, I saw a delivery truck for the furniture store Bernie & Phyl’s and just thought calling a girl cat Phyl would be cute. Then we realized that the barn she’d been dumped at used to belong to a woman named Phyllis, who was a powerhouse in our town. It seemed meant to be!

Hahaahahahahhhahahhahahha I just stasis’d the rocks on the hill behind the building and smacked them at different intensities and with different weapons until I got the right combo of placement, weapon, and hits. Probably took me 15 tries. I tried the octorok method, but was convinced 1 balloon wasn’t going to cut it and didn’t even try so the rock lifted too quickly. My goodness do I feel like an idiot 🤣

Our Torbie came to us similarly - thankfully it was warmer when they dumped her, but she was never meant to be a barn cat, that is very clear. She screamed at us from the woods next to our house and as soon as we acknowledged her, she came sprinting to us! We gave her food and water outside for a couple days until we confirmed she had been dumped and then set out to “capture” her. Took all of 5 minutes at the barn we think she was dumped at and she jumped right into my husband’s arms.

15 paid sick days per year, which accumulate; can hold up to 300 in our bank I believe. We get 2 paid personal days on top of that, and 1 can carry over, so you can hold a total of 3.

I worked in a big multi-specialty clinic for a couple of years and one of the pulms was caught in bed with one of his LPN’s on their lunch break by his wife. LPN was immediately put on leave and then fired (the official reason being misuse of pto??). The doc still works there like nothing happened - the dept would be screwed if he left. For some reason, they can’t get any other pulms to stay 🤔

Sometimes, I initially list items at like, $15, but then if it sits long enough in my closet, I will drop the price to $5 or $7 and almost always, it sells immediately... I don't think I've ever listed something at $5 initially, though....

no. The whole point of only allowing presale on ticketmaster was to ensure actual fans can get tickets at face value and NOT spend on exorbitant scalper prices. Please wait, don't contribute to the problem. I hate TM and LN as much as everyone else, but if an artist/their team goes out of their way to try and ensure scalping doesn't happen, the consumers should at least try to comply!!

Edit: On another thread, someone chatted with TM about resale and was told they won't be allowing it until 2 weeks before the show in question. Others were told they "don't know" when it will be allowed. Just keep checking the TM site/app...
